Destur Medet Ya SahibulSaif
Since you guys are not asking me any interesting questions, I’ll see what they are sending to me. I’m asking this question: What are you being busy with?
We are asking support from our Sheykh, InsyaAllah to send us something that is going to benefit us. I ask a question before: What are you being busy with these days? Everyone is being busy with time. Because everyone has a timing living in this world. If you say, ‘No, I leave it all to Allah,’ I’m saying you are a liar. You know how not to leave to Allah when it comes to your taxes. Anybody ever say, ‘no, no, no, my taxes I leave it to Allah. Allahualam, my taxes.’ You ever hear that?
No. Tax time, very important, isn’t it? People are consumed by that: ‘whether I must give or I’m going to take? And what I’m going to do when I have this in my hand?’ Making plans now. We ask this question, ‘what is this month?’ So many immediately they say, understandable, not really, but let’s just say for the sake of argument, because someone is a teacher and teacher always have to put the date and everything, so they are stuck to that. What is the month? Murids saying, ‘March.’ What is March? Are you even understanding what the name means, ‘March’? March is based on who? Do you know? You don’t know. It’s based on a god, like maybe, this month is called maybe for example, Shiva. (Some murids started to laugh). Oh now you are laughing. Why are you laughing? Because you are Pakistanis and you know exactly what I mean huh? But when we say Mars, they say, ‘eh, it’s normal.’ It is the illusion and delusion name.
So what are you being busy with? With time. Which month are we in? As believers, this is the month of Jumadiul Awwal. Are you teaching that with your young? So once you hear Jumadiul Awwal, immediately a different energy comes to you, isn’t it?
Jumadiul Awwal. So many things happened in Jumadiul Awwal during the Prophet (asws)’s time. So many things happened in Jumadiul Awwal in the History of Islam. But how are you remembering this month of Jumadiul Awwal/March? Spring break. Being busy with spring break. Everything else being put aside, Spring break is busy. So now they are teaching us what is it that they want to be important for us, for our time. What is important in 24hrs of time according to the dunya? What is important in 24hrs? Breakfast. Most important thing, isn’t it? You wake up to eat. Some people not waking up, they are lying down, they have to get up but they start asking, ‘what am I going to eat today? I’m going to have scrambled eggs and I’m going to have Baia.’ Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Nine to five, it revolves around that. Right? Nine o’clock. Ten o’clock, it’s ten o’clock, do you know where your kids are? Like what Sheykh Effendi says, ‘if you don’t know where they are at ten o’clock in the morning, ten o’clock at night if you don’t know where they are, you are completely lost then that time. You shouldn’t be asking that question at the end.’ But that’s how it is with this dunya. They always get it backward-forward, forward-backward.
Twenty-four hours, seven days a week, what are you looking forward to? Weekend. Friday night. Weekend. That’s weekly. Monthly, what are you looking for? Paycheck. Yearly, what are you looking for? Oh, there’s so much: New Year, Christmas, Valentine, president’s day, women’s day, men’s day, children’s day, so many things that they are teaching us, these are the markers of your time, this is how your time is being spread out across the year, and this is how the markers and this is what you should be busy with thinking. Look forward to, to think. And Allah swt is swearing by time, now is not the time for us to be saying, ‘BismillahirRahmanirRahim. Wal Asr,’ – what that time means? Leave it to Awliya Allah to discuss that.
Sufis they say, ‘you must be children of the present, of time.’ What does that mean? Anyone who knows that, they don’t speak. Those who don’t know, they speak. So much philosophy. Now time, what is the year? What is the month, what are the days, what is the week, according to Islam. According to the believer? So the day is not divided with breakfast, lunch and dinner. For Believers, for Muslims, for fourteen hundred years, the day is divided into: Fajr, Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isya’. Ishraq, Tahajjud. Let’s meet, not at five o’clock. Let’s meet after Asr. This is how a believer, because a believer’s day is not punctuated, is not marked with how you are going to feed your ego, eating and drinking like animal. It is how you are going to clean yourself and to gain the Barakat and the blessings of Allah swt.
The week; Monday is the Prophet (asws)’s Birthday, Holy day. Thursday is Jumma night,it’s a Holy night. Friday is a Holy day, everything stops and you celebrate. Then it continues. Then you look forward to the months. And Allah swt is saying in the Holy Quran, ‘the months of Allah, there are twelve. And it is named.’ So this is not the month of Mars, March. Later it is not the month of June, Juno. It is not the month of Julius, July. Or Augustus. This is the month of Jumadil Awwal. We are going to enter into the month of Jumadiul Ahir. We are halfway, more a little bit in the month of Jummadil Awwal, we are going to enter to the month of Jummadil Ahir, then we are looking forward to the month of Allah, the month of Rajab. We enter now into the three Holy Months: the month of Rajab, the month of Shaban, which is the month of the Holy Prophet (asws), now the month of Ramazan it is the Crown. It is the Crown.
The month of Ramazan is when the Believer they are going to feel the blessings raining. The month of Ramazan is not when suddenly you want to start worshiping. You start that months before. So then the month of Ramazan, you are just on, you know when you are driving you put it on cruise control. Month of Ramazan has to be cruised control. It’s not month of Ramazan enter and then you are going to be suffering, pushing, struggling. It’s not. The Barakat that falls in the month of Ramazan, it is enough for the whole of humanity, for the whole of creation, until Judgment Day. So if we are getting ready before that time, it will be easy, InsyaAllah. If not, we are just being stuck; now, what day is today? Today is Saturday, from Saturn’s day and what are we looking forward to? We are looking forward to spring break. It’s not going to be too good.
The time, it is very important. And how you are thinking about how you are spending your time, what you are being busy with, that is the direction and that is the aim of your life. So what do we need to be busy with? What do we need to be busy with? Be busy with getting back on the main road. Don’t say, ‘I’m going to be busy with Allah.’ You are never busy with Allah. Try to get back on the main road. Don’t be busy with your ego. And understand how you are getting busy with your ego, how the ego is fooling man 24/7. It’s fooling murids and believers, Muslims and non-Muslims. Don’t be busy with the confusion that is happening. You will not understand. Pull yourself away. The Holy Prophet (asws) is saying, ‘there will come a time in the Ahir Zaman where the wealth of a believer is only his sheep. And he will pull to the mountain and that’s where he is going to stay, having a simple religion.’ We have reached those times. Circle around, as much as you want. They are going to fool you. Right?
As you like, InsyaAllah. This is for those who are listening. You don’t listen, leave it. InsyaAllah we will take it. SelamAleykum.
Wa minaAllahu Taufiq al-Fatiha.
