Why does the jealousy feel like the worst trait that is most vicious and least controllable?

BismillahirRahmanirRahim

Question: Why does the jealousy feel like the worst trait that is most vicious and least  controllable?

don't be jealous

Because jealousy is coming directly from sheytan. Because sheytan was jealous of us, jealous of Hazreti Adam, jealous of the Bani Adam, the children of Adam. Sheytan was jealous of the Holy Prophet (asws). So anything that is inherited from sheytan, if there is no discipline, you cannot control it, you are going to be worse then sheytan. You are going to be like sheytan. Like the ayats say: sheytan is coming from the Jins and the Inns, and the man who has jealousy, there is such a blindness that covers him, that if he is not waking up, it will consume him. It will throw him from the highest station to the lowest station. How are you going to get rid of this jealousy?

Go to the Doctor. Go to the Doctor of the heart, you will slowly understand it. You will understand what feeds that jealousy and you will understand what is going to starve it and how to get rid of it. You cannot get rid of it by yourself. You cannot get rid of it, you can try going up and down and asking Allah. The disease of the spirit, it is more severe and more dangerous than disease of the body. If you say, ‘I’m not going to go to the physical doctor. I’m just going to pray to Allah to cure me.’ I say, very good. You will get cure because you have such faith. But nobody is doing that. So what about the disease of the spirit now? You are going to ask Allah just directly, or you are going to go to a doctor?

Of course Allah is the one who is curing. But Allah does not cure you directly. It is the protocol of Allah swt, He sends means to draw you to Him. And He says, ‘seek means to come closer to Me.’ So many ayats He is saying, ‘Obey Allah and obey the Prophet.’ ‘Obey Allah and obey the Prophet.’ ‘Obey Allah and obey the Prophet.’ Holy Prophet (asws) is saying what? ‘He who obeys me, is obeying Allah. He who disobeys me, he disobeys Allah.’ And he goes further than that. Didn’t he? What is he saying? ‘He who obeys his rightly guided leader, obeys me. And he who disobeys his rightly guided leader, has disobeyed me.’

Now do you understand where the link is? Now you understand how important the Doctors are? So now jealousy, slowly, it is not by talking so much. You can open so many books and you want to read, you cannot find that cure like that. That’s the time you need to be with Saliheen. You need to be in the Jamaat. You need to listen to the sohbet. You need to be in the Dergah. You need to understand. Certain things will change. Now if you say, ‘but I cannot be in the Dergah physically.’ Then we say, you don’t have to be, but are you listening to the sohbet? Are you trying to understand and putting it in your life? Sohbet is like a medicine. For the medicine to take effect, you have to take it. You cannot just listen and listen and listen, like someone collecting more and more medicine and they just put it in their house without taking it. It’s not going to give you any benefit then time.

So, InsyaAllah, there are certain diseases, spiritual diseases, that they are very subtle. And the jealousy, it takes time and it takes understanding in ways that you don’t understand. And don’t worry, everyone has that. Everyone has jealousy inside of us. Whether it is open or it is not. Sometimes it is so well hidden, you think you are not a jealous person, in fact you will say, ‘I’ve never been jealous of anyone,’ but suddenly you come to the Dergah, something happens. Suddenly you are filled with such jealousy for someone and you don’t understand it. Good. This is when you are getting detox. You understand? All that disease is coming out, then you understand now the dirtiness of your ego and how important it is to find a doctor to get rid of it.You are not clean, you are leading people, you are more responsible now. You are not clean and you are leading people, and you yourself, you are not following a leader, all their dirtiness will jump to you. And you are going to spread dirtiness to them.

Connection is important. “He who obeys his rightly guided leader has obeyed me and  he who obeys me has obeyed Allah.” InsyaAllah, may we always follow our rightly guided leader, SahibulSaif. Not just by words. InsyaAllah. SelamAleykum warahmatullah
