Tariqatuna Sohbet wa Khayru fil Jamiat. Let’s renew our Shahadat saying, ‘Ashadu an-la ilaha il Allah, ve Ashadu anna Muhammadan Abduhu ve Rasuluhu. Salallahu Ta’ala Alayhi ve ala Alihi ve Sahbihi ve Sallim.’ We begin with that. Are you going to take any benefit from this? Can anyone say to me right now, what we just did, what I just make you to do, you and myself, is not giving anything to you? Say.
That is Shahadat. The whole sohbet is to reaffirm that Shahadat. It is to understand that the Angel of Death, it is real. Death, we witness every single day. We’ve seen people that are close to us in our families, people that we don’t expect them to go, we did not expect our Sheykh to go, they passed. What makes us to be exception? What makes us to be exception that we say we don’t need to be reminded of our Shahadat, of our promise to our Lord. Only the ego is not liking it. They are saying the Shahadat but on my own terms. I want the Shahadat the way that I believe. Not the way that the jamaat believe.
How many times we hear Sheykh Effendi saying, ‘Allah’s order: Be Jamaat.’ That it is Allah’s Holy Name: Jami, Ya Jami. This Tarikat is built on the sohbet. If you cannot be in jamaat during the sohbet, then outside of it there’s a huge question mark whether it is a real jamaat. Or are we still doing things for our ego? Or for our own benefits? For our own self? Not for the sake of Allah. How many times we hear Sheykh Effendi saying this riwayat, do you know what riwayat means? How many times do you hear me say this:
When Allah swt question Musa (as), “Ya Musa, what have you done for Me? What have you done for My sake?” And Musa (as) saying, “I pray ya Rabbi. I fast. I give zakat. I go to the Hajj.” The meaning is: I do everything. And Allah is saying, ‘that is all for you Ya Musa. That is all for you. It’s not for Me. The Shahadat, it is for you. The prayer it is for you. Fasting it is for you. Zakat and the Hajj, all the blessings that come, it is for you. It is not for Me. What have you done for Me? What can you do for My sake?” Musa(as), he could not answer. Kalimullah. Are you understanding, Kalimullah? And how many times we have heard, maybe you have heard but I’m here to remind you, Allah saying, “Love those I love and leave those that I leave.” The word is ‘hate.’ But we may say, ‘leave’ because Sheykh Effendi said that.
How are we loving those that Allah loves? With what? How are we loving those that Allah love? And how many times we hear Sheykh Effendi saying, ‘Be with the Jamaat. The order is: Be with the Jamaat. Be with the Saliheen.’
What happens when you are with the Saliheen? What happens when you fulfil that order that Allah is giving an order in the Holy Quran, ‘Be with the Saliheen.’ You are going to lose? Or you are not going to take benefit? If you believe that this is the company of the Saliheen, definitely not me, but maybe there are some other people here, hidden, that they are. At least this is Sheykh Effendi’s association, then how are you not taking benefit? So how are you going to love those that Allah loves? What do you do when you love someone? The Khutbah is talking about what? The three things when you gave a beyat: it is Obedience, Submission and Mohabbat. That is how you are going to serve. And whatever that is important, important in that one’s eye, and the most important thing in this way, it is Sohbet. Because this Tarikat is based on that.
The power of that Shahadat will make us to become clean again. The power of that Shahadat has enough value and benefit to take us clean from this world when the Angel of Death comes to us right away. That power of that Shahadat is going to make a big protection against to ourselves and the fire that we make inside of us and the fire that is outside.
Allah swt has appointed Sultanul Awliya, He has appointed our Sheykh, to be on top of us. He took us out from every kind of jungle that we came from. And he has cleaned us up. Everyone should remember those days. And everyone should remember those days, who else were around when you are coming out from that mess? Who else that our Sheykh has supported and appointed, that also help you along this way? Who has taught you that Shahadat? Who has taught you how to pray? And how to think? Later you may grow up to say, ‘I don’t need it anymore.’ You may. But if the order comes, as murids, as believers, we say what? ‘We hear and we obey.’
InsyaAllah ar-Rahman. These words are for me and for you. Anyone who is understanding, you are going to take some benefits from it, definitely. Anyone who is not understanding, it doesn’t matter. Forty Prophets can come down to speak, it is not going to make any difference. May Allah forgive me and bless you. Fatiha.
