Dua-for-Rajab (3)

maulid mubarak

All praises are due to our Lord, Allah swt, the most Merciful, the most Compassionate. The Creator of all that is in existence. He who is the First and the Last. He who is Hidden and Apparent.  All praises to Allah swt, who has created the Heavens and the Hells, the land and the seas, the Sun and the Moon. All praises to Allah swt who created mankind. All praises are due to Allah, who is so Exalted and remove from everything that He is beyond praise, beyond description. All praises are due to Allah swt, who sent inspiration and revelation to the seal of the Prophet, Sayidina Muhamad (sws).

And all peace and blessings upon the Holy Prophet (asws), the Seal of the Prophethood, the walking Quran, the Imam of the two Holy Masjids, the intercessor on the Day of Judgement. All praise, peace and blessings upon the Holy Prophet (asws) whom Allah swt is describing, as Rauf and Rahim. All peace and blessings upon He, to  whom the trees uprooted themselves to make sejdah. All peace and blessings upon the Holy Prophet (asws) for whose sake, Allah swt created all that is in existence.

Welcome O Believers.

Welcome O servants of Allah.

Welcome to the Holy day of Jummah, the mother of days.

And while we are welcoming to the Holy day of Jummah, we are also understanding that we are saying goodbye to the Holy days and nights of Allah. We are saying Al Wada to the Holy Month of Rajab. We are leaving that month that Holy Prophet (asws) is saying is for planting the seeds that will give fruits in the month of Ramazan. We are leaving that month that Holy Prophet (asws) is calling it, A Tremendous Month.

The believer, he must examine his actions. The believer must call himself to account as Hz Umar al-Farouk (r.a) had said, ‘judge yourself before you are judged.’ So, O believers, we must ask ourselves, we must take account of ourselves. How did we spent this Holy days and nights of the Sharullah, of the month of Rajab? Were  we running to fulfil  the sunnah of the Holy Prophet (asws) by fasting this Holy month? Were we running to catch the blessings of this Holy month that Holy Prophet (asws) is saying ‘that to fast one day in this month is like fasting a year.’ Were we running to honour the Holy days that are unique to this month, that are unlike any other days of the year? Were we running to honour the Holy night of Raghaib in which the light of the Holy Prophet (asws) was passed from his father to his mother, the night of wishes? Were we running to honour the Holy night of Miraj, when Allah swt invited His Habibullah to His Divine Presence and brought him beyond the Sidratul Muntaha? Or did we keep ourselves busy with Malayani, with backbiting, with wrong actions in this month? Or do we let this month pass us by without showing it any respect, without changing, by  staying the same?

Did we pass this month like the people that Allah swt is describing in the Quran saying, ‘they have hearts with which they understand not. Eyes that they don’t see, ears which they don’t hear. They are like cattle. No, they are worse because they are heedless.’ Astarghfirullah.

If we run in the way of Allah swt in this month then we need to ask Allah to let us to keep on running in His way and to become better ones. And if we wasted this month, if we lose the opportunities of this month, then we should feel very ashamed of ourselves. Because a hadiths of the Holy Prophet (asws) is saying that, “in the next life, for the one who did not respect the month of Rajab, a voice will call out to him saying, ‘your Nafs, it has betrayed you.’” May Allah swt protect us from that.

There are a few nights left. Tonight and tomorrow night, and a few nights. We should run to collect what we can in these last night and beg Allah to forgive us for the wrong things that we have been doing and to count us amongst those ones who showed respect to the Holy month of Rajab. And in three days, in a few days, we will be entering into the month of the Prophet (asws), the Holy Month of Sha’ban. This is the month that Holy Prophet is saying, ‘Sha’ban is my month.’

Marhaba Ya Shahru Nabi!

Welcome O month of the Prophet!

And this month is so beloved to the Holy Prophet, that Hz Usama bin Zayd said to the Holy Prophet (asws), ‘Ya Rasulullah, I’ve seen you fasting in the month of Sha’ban so much, so frequently that I’ve never seen you fasting in any other month.’ And Holy Prophet (asws) replied to him, ‘that is the month between Rajab and Ramazan which is neglected by so many people and it is a month in which an account of the deeds is presented before the Lord of the Universe. So I wish that my deed be presented at the time when I’m in the state of fasting.’

So, we must run to show the proper respect to the days and nights of the month of the Holy Prophet (asws). We must run to decorate these days and nights with Salawats. We must run to cultivate, to give water and to give nutrition to the seeds that we planted in the month of Rajab during the Sha’ban and hope to Allah swt that the beautiful fruits will come out in the month of Ramazan. InsyAllah. And in this month of Sha’ban, it is coming, it is one of the most important, most tremendous night of the entire year; the Night of Nisfu Sha’ban, the night of Bara’at. That is a night in which accounting is taken of mankind. The entire of affairs of the children of Adam are being written and decreed by Allah swt in that night. Our whole year is going to go in the direction that is being written in that night. And in that night, Allah descends from the Heaven to forgive whoever from His creations is asking and begging for His forgiveness.

So these days and these nights, the believers, the believers must be thirsty for them and running to catch the blessings that Allah has stored for us in these days. These days, they are a mercy  from Allah for us to make up for the wrong things that we have done in other parts of the year. They are a time for us to put ourselves together and for us to renew our intentions and to come back to the Siratul Mustaqim. If we run after these days, and are counted amongst those who respected them, we will be in safety. If not, we will feel a great regret in the Judgement Day.

We are asking Allah, for the sake of this Holy day and holy night of Rajab and the holy month of Sha’ban that is about to enter to grant the highest station to Sultan Awliya Sheykh Maulana Muhammad Nazim Adil Haqqani and our SahibulSaif Sheykh Abd Kerim Kibrisi al-Rabbani. We are asking our Lord, Allah swt to strengthen our Jama’at, to unite the hearts of the people in our Jama’at, for Him to be pleased with our Jama’at. We are asking Allah to count us amongst those who showed respect to the Holy month of Rajab, to count us amongst those who are going to respect the month of Sha’ban. To count us amongst those who respected the Night of Raghaib and who respected the Night of Miraj. We are asking Allah to accept our worshiping and fasting. We are asking Allah to let us enter clean and pure to the month of Sha’ban and to have a clean Bara’at in the Night of Nisfu Sha’ban.

Ya Rabbal Alameen, for the sake of these days that are beloved to You, help the Ummati Muhammad. Ya Rabbi, remove the oppression  and the tyranny from this world. Ya Rabbi, for the sake of this Holy days and Holy nights, send us that one who is a savior of the end of time, Sayiddina Mahdi (a.s).
