Question: How does one who has bad health and is lonely keep and build their iman? We should look to those below us, but how can that be done if one is at the bottom?
BismillahirRahmanirRahim. You say: we should look to those who are below us, but how can that be done when you are at the bottom?
Are you sure you are at the bottom, you have bad health and you are lonely and your Iman is weak? Are you really certain you are at the bottom? Man is complaining because he has no shoes, he is complaining he has no shoes, but he stop complaining when he saw a man who has no feet. Now if you’re sincerely thinking you are the one in this whole world that is at the bottom, then I say we pray for you, Inshallah. May it be easy for you. We try to help you like that, but the way that you are describing your bad health and you are lonely and your Iman you feel is low, if that is at the bottom I’m saying look around you a little bit more. Wake up a little bit more. Even if you are around people who are not, who are better than you and you are at the bottom, we have 124 000 Prophets that is in front of us whose lives we cannot even compare to ours.
You have the lives of the Sahaba e-Kiram that they went through and Allah made them to go through such suffering and such difficulties, but they held on to their Iman. Well this is the problem because there are those that certain things happened to them and their Iman rises. Then there are those that certain things happened to them their Iman goes down. You have a bad health and you are lonely, you have a bad health, Inshallah you are going to get better. Are you, do you have the opportunity to see someone who can advise you on your health issues like a doctor? You do. There are millions who don’t, who don’t even have the opportunity to see a doctor. There are millions who don’t have any medicine to take and do you? You do. Sit down and understand your situation better because if you are a believer and you are asking and you are in a tough situation, your Lord is not going to leave you alone. You are a believer but you are not really knowing yourself, you are not knowing your situation and you are not knowing what you are saying and you are not knowing what you are asking, that time even when the help comes you are going to push it away. So what are you going to look for? Look to your Lord, look to yourself and say what is my Lord sending to me that I should be doing? Don’t look for excuses, don’t look for complaints, and when you find someone who is able to give you some advice, follow. Don’t look to fight, don’t look to argue may Allah make it easy for you. Al Fatiha.
