Alhamdulillah Shukur. We are all travelers. Although it looks like I’m the one who is travelling to come here, you are also traveler, every single one of us. I did not leave my home to come here. We came from upstate New York, in the mountains. Originally I’m coming from Singapore but that is not my home. If you say you come from Hadhramaut, that is not your home too. If you are born here, that is also not your home. Not men, not women, nor child. Pakistan, not your home. Bangladesh, definitely not your home.
Our original home is Paradise. That is our original home. And the love of your homeland, it is part of your faith. Prophet (asws) when he said that Hadiths e-Sharif, it is not meaning part of your homeland, if you come from China, you have to love China. Because our original home is Jannat. That is our original home. We have been created, Hz Adam (as), our grandfather, yours and mine, that everything that people are fighting today, showing their differences, it’s in reality, everyone coming from the same father and the same mother. When are we going to realize our common humanity? Regardless of color or nationality, yes, even regardless of religion. Because for 1400 years, we have enough proof to show in Islamic civilization that the Muslims can live alongside the non-Muslims and the non-Muslims can live alongside the Muslims to build a civilization for the rest of the world. We have Medina, we have Mecca, we have Damascus, we have Baghdad, we have Kahirah, we have India, we have Eastern Europe, we have Andalusia, we have all the way to Indonesia, China, wherever the Muslims were, because it is the Holy command.
Everyone belongs not only to the race of the Bani Adam, but everyone belongs to the Ummati Muhammad (asws). And this is enough honor for us. If we understand this common humanity, then what is this fighting for? But if you say, ‘No! This is my land, it’s not your land. America is my land,’ Trump is saying, ‘it’s not your land.’ Pakistan is saying, ‘this is my land.’ Indian is saying, ‘no this is my land.’ That is not the Prophet (asws), what he meant. Once you have this then there is going to be a conflict. Definitely. Because we have not been created for this dunya. Our physical form, originally the physical form, Allah did not create us, listen carefully, Allah did not create us the way that He created Adam (as). Adam (as), Allah created, Quran e-Kerim is saying, with His Divine hands. That doesn’t mean that Allah has hands now. We are not from the aqidah of those ones who says, Allah has a face, Allah sits, Allah gets up, Allah has a direction. Because these are certain words and certain ayats that you cannot take literally. But Allah swt He has made Adam (as) with His Divine hands. One. We are just copy of a copy of a copy of that original one, Adam (as). Which means, Adam (as) physical form, it was not created for this dunya. It was created for Jannat. And our whole aim is to find our way back to our Lord, Allah swt, to go back to our home. But those ones who are aiming higher, they say, ‘yes Ya Rabbi, You have created us for Jannat, but that is for our physical form. We are coming from You. Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi Rajiun. And we want to return to You.’
Those are the ones that the Holy Prophet (asws) gave the secret teachings of Tasawuf, those who are going beyond what is the physical, to look for the spirit and to return back to Allah swt. That is our intention. That is our aim. We are very weak creatures. We are very dirty creatures. Our worship is no good for nothing. But we are asking Allah for the sake of His Habibullah (asws) and for the sake of the AwliyaAllah that we will be dust under their feet, and wherever they travel, we will travel too. Free ride. Why are we wearing this (Sheykh pointed to the Nalain Shareef on his Turban) Nalain Shareef? Because this is the symbol of the sandal of the Prophet (asws), that when he went to Mi’raj, and he was approaching the Divine throne, he wanted to remove his shoes, just as Allah swt made Hz Musa (as) to remove his shoes in the mountain of Tur. Mountain of Tur is still in this world, in this dunya. Allah was not on the mountain of Tur. That burning bush that the sound came out, not for us to understand like the movie, the sound coming out, ‘I am your God,’ no not that kind. But that is a Holy Valley. Still Musa (as), Allah swt is saying, ‘remove your shoes.’ But understand the maqam of our Prophet (asws), on the Divine Throne, Allah swt is saying, ‘do not take off your shoes. My Throne will be blessed by your sandals.’ And we are asking to be dust under his sandals. SelamAleykum warahmatullahi Wabarakatu.
