Question: Despite trying my utmost best to strive to be on the way of Sahibul Saif(qs). How do I know whether or not my Murshid is pleased or displeased with me and if I am on the right track or not as I am rather lost at times. Which leads me to a dead end of utter confusion.
You don’t know whether your Murshid is pleased with you, you are at that level where you are confused by everything, you are just going to ask. You are going to look, you are going to watch. You are going to look with this eyes, and you are going to know. You are going to look at your actions and you are going to look at his actions. Is it similar, same way, same road? It is. Don’t worry about it. Why you have to be confused?
It’s not speaking about other things. It cannot lead you to a dead end if you are always asking yourself this, because we are not living on top of a mountain where you cannot get any access and you don’t know. It is very easy. Anytime you want to connect to us, to speak, you can. Anytime you want to see, you can. At least once a week, live, you can speak you can hear. So why is there going to be a confusion now? You are following the sohbet, you are trying to live your life according to that sohbet properly, but you are still confused? All you have to do is ask. Then when you ask you have that responsibility to listen. Because in these days people just ask but they don’t listen. When the answer is given to them they don’t listen, because they already have another question in the back of their mind or they already have an answer or they have a reason or they have an explanation or they have an excuse. They don’t listen to the answer. So those ones they are not so interested to speak too that time.
So you just need to ask, then you need to listen, then you need to look again. Yes this way can be a little bit hard but it’s only hard to your ego. You want to make it easy for your ego, there are other ways in this world claiming for spirituality it is also very easy for your ego, you may go, it’s ok. You want to get up and dance, you can get up and dance. Go dance with them. Over here we are dancing for Allah’s sake. We don’t pass the limits. So be sincere. May Allah forgive me and bless you. Al- Fatiha.
