Remember your first Experience

A murid who came to the Osmanli Dergahi for the first time tells Sheykh Lokman Hz how things and people at the dergah seems very familiar to him, and he ask Sheykh why this is so.

Remember your first experience. Remember that, especially those who are coming in. Remember your first experience. Don’t forget. Because after a while you are going to forget. New experience is going to come in, you are going to lose the value of the first experience. Of course it’s going to be familiar. You are home. You are with people that you already formed a love and a relationship in pre-eternity. Of course you are going to feel that you are brothers. You are starting to live the experience of that Ayat that Allah (swt) is saying, ‘Only the believers they are brothers.’

Now, what you are going to do after that? That is important, not just to be in high that we are brothers. No. Brothers sometimes they fight, what you are going to do that time, hmm? They disagree. What are you going to do that time? They may break you too. What are you going to do that time? Are you going to live according to that Ayat and according to your original feeling? Are you going to be living according to that feeling that is just coming and going time to time?

There is a lot of work that we have to do, you understand? If we are not working on that, impossible we are going to be with Mehdi (as). We are just going to be spectators pushed to the side. We have to be in a situation you are going to trust each other. Good and bad, you are going to trust. Not just good you are going to trust, but the bad also you are going to trust that beyond that there is something good. Don’t think it’s so easy, just saying trust is just like that, just a word “I trust”. This is so easy they are saying, ‘if you love the Prophet (asws) you going to be filled with love yourself.’ But the Prophet (asws) is saying, ‘if you love me, prepare for hardship.’ Yeah, if you love those ones who love the Awliyah Allah prepare yourself for some of that too. That’s all we are here. InshaAllah. May Allah forgive me and bless you. WaMinAllahu taufiq Al Fateha.
