All praises are due to Allah, Lord of the Universes. All praises are due to Allah Who created the Heavens and the Earth and all that is between them. All praises are due to Allah Who created Hz. Adam (AS) with His own Hands, and blew the breath of life into Hz. Adam. All praises are due to Allah Who has honored the Children of Adam. All praises are due to Allah Who sent the Most Honored One in Divine Presence, Sayyidina Muhammad (AS), as the Final Messenger.

And may all peace and blessings be upon the Crownbearer of Perfection, the Imam of the Righteous, the Seal of the Prophethood, the Lamp of Guidance, the Helper to the Oppressed, Sayyidina Muhammad (AS), and upon his noble family and blessed companions, especially upon the Four Khulafa-e-Rashideen- Hz. Abu Bakr el-Siddiq, Hz. Umar el-Faruq, Hz. Osman el-Ghani, and Hz. Ali el-Murtaza, and all those who follow them until the Last Day.

Ayyuhal Mu’minoon! O Believers! Welcome to you on this Holy Day of Jummah, the First Jummah of Jamadial Awwal. O Believers! After this month is Jamadial Ahir, and after that we enter into the Holy Month of Rajab Shahrullah. Insya’Allah ar-Rahman. May Allah increase our life to be able to see that Holy Month. O Believers! we should spend our days and nights in the Taqwa of Allah, so that we may become pleasing to our Lord.

Allah (SWT) is saying in a Hadith Qudsi that is narrated in the Forty Hadith of Imam Nawawi, may Allah be pleased with him, saying: ‘O My servants! I have forbidden oppression for Myself, and I have made it forbidden amongst you, so do not oppress one another. O My servants, all of you are astray except those whom I have guided, so seek guidance from Me and I shall guide you. O My servants, all of you are hungry except those whom I have fed, so seek food from Me and I shall feed you. O My servants, all of you are naked except those whom I have clothed, so seek clothing from Me and I shall clothe you. O My servants, you commit sins by day and by night, and I forgive all sins, so seek forgiveness from Me and I shall forgive you. O My servants, you will not reach to harming Me so as to harm Me, and you will not reach to benefiting Me so as to benefit Me. O My servants, if the first of you and the last of you, and the humans of you and the jinn of you, were all as pious as the most pious heart of any individual amongst you, then this would not increase My Kingdom an atom’s worth. O My servants, if the first of you and the last of you, and the humans of you and the jinn of you, were all as wicked as the most wicked heart of any individual amongst you, then this would not decrease My Kingdom an atom’s worth. O My servants, if the first of you and the last of you, and the humans of you and the jinn of you, were all to stand together in one place and ask of Me, and I were to give everyone what he requested, then that would not decrease what I Possess, except what is decreased of the ocean when a needle is dipped into it. O My servants, it is but your deeds that I account for you, and then recompense for you. So he who finds good, let him praise Allah, and he who finds other than that, let him blame no one but himself.’ And the words of Allah, He speaks the truth.

Subhan’Allah. Sultan’Allah. In today’s world, in today’s situation, mankind needs to remember this. Not just the believers, not just the Muslims, but all of mankind. All of mankind needs to know that Allah is Supreme. Allah is Greater than everything. Allahu Akbar. And Allah (SWT) has forbidden tyranny upon Himself. Allah has forbidden oppression upon Himself. And so He has also forbidden tyranny and oppression amongst His servants. And yet this world is full of tyranny. There is no country today, there is no land, there is no province, that is not sinking into oppression and tyranny. And we were warned about this age of tyranny by the Holy Prophet (AS). Because in reality, Holy Prophet (AS) told his companions everything that will happen and everything that happened in history.

Hz. Hudayfah ibn al-Yaman (RA), who is blessed with the title: the Secret Keeper of the Holy Prophet (AS), he said: Rasulallah (AS) stood up one day to speak to us, and told us everything that was going to happen until the Hour, and he left nothing unsaid. Some of the listeners learnt it by heart, and some forgot it; these friends of mine learnt it. I do not remember it completely, but sometimes it springs to mind, just as one might remember and recognize the face of a man whom one had forgotten, when one sees him. (Sunan Abu Dawud).

And from those who remembered this knowledge and preserved it in their hearts, they passed it from generation to generation. Not through books and by writing with the pen; this knowledge was passed heart to heart. And Elhamdulillah, that knowledge has reached to our generation through our Sheykh, Sahib el-Sayf Sheykh Abdul Kerim el-Kibrisi el-Rabbani (KS), from his Sheykh Sultanul Evliya Sheykh Maulana Muhammad Nazim Adil al-Hakkani, from the Golden Chain of the Naksibendi order. And he is teaching us from that knowledge, saying: Holy Prophet (AS) is addressing to us saying to us ( to the whole Muslim world and the non-Muslim world knows this hadith), “After me Khulafa-e Rashideen will come, the rightly guided Khalifahs will come. They will rule correctly. After the Khulafa-e Rashideen, kings, Maliks will come. After them Sultans will come who will rule correctly and justly. After the Sultans Allah (SWT) in His Divine Wisdom will be hiding the Khalifah for one century and He will be giving the ruling of the world to the unbelievers. They will rule everywhere. They are the tyrants.” He said, “Everywhere every government officials will become tyrants. If you are reaching to that time then don’t interfere. Pull yourself away from them. Turn yourself and ask Allah saying, “Ya Rabbi! There is nothing we can do in this situation. We are asking and saying that we are not liking and we are not approving what they are doing.” Say this. This will bring safety to you. Anyone who will be like that will find safety. Anyone who runs to change it, eh we have been seeing it for the last hundred years. Anyone who sticks their nose thinking that they are going to change and they are going to make it better, they are making it worse.

Sahibul saif (3)

So this is the advice that we are given from our Sheykh that is specific for this time. Because when we hear this advice, we understand that we are not living in a time that is detached from other time; rather, we are living in an age that is a part of the history of this world as decreed by Allah (SWT). And we are living in the most critical point in the history of this world. We are living in an age when the Khalifa has been hidden and the tyrants have been given free reign to rule. Who can say that this is not the age of tyrants? And the tyrants now are planning to bring war and ruin to the whole world. Are they going to fight for Truth and for Justice? No. They are going to fight to make more money, to collect more wealth for this world. Because the wars of the 21st century have become a money-making businesses. The weapon makers make money. The ones who rain fire on the people make money. The ones who design bombs that kill as many people as possible make money. And in order to make more money, the world is preparing to go to a war.

Now is not the time to fight. Because those who fight to the tyrants, they are going to be destroyed by them. The advice of the Holy Prophet (AS) that has reached to us through his inheritors is to stay back in this time, and to live a simple life. To worship and to ask Allah, and to wait for the appearances of Sahibul Zaman, Hazreti Mahdi (AS). Because the Heavenly power is the only power that can stop this tyranny that is happening in this world right now. It needs a big spiritual power. This is the advice of the Friends of Allah throughout the history. Hz. Hasan al-Basri (KS) is saying: Know – may Allah forgive you – Know that the tyranny of the kings is a punishment (niqmah) from among the punishment of Allah the Most High. And Allah’s punishments are not to be faced with the sword, but they are to be faced with Taqwa and are repelled with supplication and repentance, remorse (inaabah) and abstention from wrong actions. Verily, when the punishments of Allah are met with the sword, they become very severe. And Malik bin Dinar narrated to me that al-Hajjaj (the governor) used to say, “Know that every time you commit a sin Allah will bring about a punishment from the direction of your ruler”. And I have I have also been told that a person said to al-Hajjaj, “Do you do such and such with the Ummah of Muhammad (AS)?” So he replied, “For the reason that I am the punishment of Allah upon the people of Iraaq, when they innovated into their religion whatever they innovated, and when they abandoned the commands of the their Prophet (AS) whatever they abandoned.

So this great Friend of Allah is teaching us that the tyranny of the rulers is in fact a punishment coming from the Lord of the Heavens. And what is the reason that this Age of Jababirah came? What is the reason for this Era of Tyranny?

Our Sheykh is explaining to us from the Prophetic Knowledge, saying: Sultan Abdul Aziz and Sultan Abdul Hamid Han. In the time of Sultan Abdul Aziz Han people started uprising. They started running to build the kingdom of Sheytan. They started supporting the kingdom of Sheytan and eventually they didn’t like the laws and rulings that the king was putting on them. So they started uprising against him here and there slowly. The Sultan knew. They took him away from power and they hanged him. Allah removed him. He asked to be removed, to go out from this world. Holy Prophet (AS) is saying, “Any justly ruling person who is taken away from power and sentenced with death penalty becomes the highest martyr in the Judgment Day.” So he reached to martyrdom. All those who did that to him are suffering from that time until now. This nation (ummah), these people right now are paying the price for that. We didn’t come to Sultan Abdul Hamid Han yet. When it came to Sultan Abdul Hamid Han he checked saying, “How many people, what’s the percentage that is uprising?” So Sultan Abdul Hamid Han looked and he checked. He checked those nations that were under his ruling and he saw that they were uprising. Against what? They said, “We want to be free.” Free means what? Without the laws of Allah. He saw that these are the nations, this is how much percentage there are in each nation uprising and Sultan Abdul Hamid sat and waited. He said to his people, “Don’t do anything.” The Generals said to him, “Ya Sultan, we have a big power. We have a big army. We can crush them down.” He said, “No. All these soldiers who are with me, if one dies in this way then I will be very sorry in the Judgment Day. They should not. But they may become martyrs with me.” So they didn’t (take military action). He didn’t use the army. He let them uprise. They took him, they sent him to exile and he died as a martyr too. They are paying. People are paying the price, nations are paying the price and still they are not waking up. Now from Afghanistan to Iraq, from Indonesia to Malaysia, from the Philippines to Qudus, from Africa to Morocco, from Bosnia to Chechenistan, everywhere it’s burning. People are paying the price. People are paying the price of uprising against the Sultan. Nothing else. Allah’s Mercy is always opening and He is sending other people to call people to the right way. They are not waking up! Don’t wake. Other ones are coming. Never is it going to become easier. Allah is not going to give in. We are going to give in.

The punishment of this nation is coming from our abandonment and our rejection of the Khalifatullah, of the Ottoman Sultan. And until this Ummat wakes up to realize that and to ask help and forgiveness from that mistake, we are going to continue to sink. That is the root problem with the scholars and the activists and the Muslim intellectuals of today. Although they know that tyranny is a problem, although they know that the Ummat is in its lowest state, they don’t know the solution to the problem. They want to change everything; they want something new. They are saying, we need to make a new democratic socialist secularist humanist Islamic society. They come to every solution except for the solution that Allah has decreed. And the correct solution is to beg Allah for forgiveness for the crimes that the Ummat committed against to Sultan Abdul Aziz Han and Sultan Abdul Hamid Han, our Khalifahs, the shadow of Allah on earth. The correct solution is to wake up that Ottoman spirit in our hearts again.

the Exiled Ottoman Sultan

And in the End of Times, the believers must live like those believers from the beginning. Because Holy Prophet (AS) said, Islam began as something strange, and it will end as something strange. My Selam to the strangers. The Ottomans began with Sultan Osman Ghazi sitting on the top of the mountain with his people. Living a simple life. Raising sheep. Making Zikir. Living a lifestyle of Edep. And through their simple lifestyle, through that Prophetic lifestyle, Allah (SWT) honored them. And he made the Tree of the Ottomans come out from the heart of Osman Ghazi and grow all over the world. In this Ahir Zaman, we are asking Allah (SWT) to make that tree to grow once more and to spread its shade of justice all over the world. We are asking to be from those who will be under the shade of that tree. Amin.
