All praises are due to Allah, Lord of the Universes. His Essence is pure above any likeness and His Attributes are exalted beyond any resemblance to something similar. He is One, not in fewness, and Exists, not from a cause. He is known for kindness and described as the Greatest, and this description is without end. He is First without beginning and Last without end. Sons are not ascribed to Him. The passage of moments does not exhaust Him nor do the years weaken Him. All creatures are subject to His immensity. His command is the kaf and nun [Kun, Be!]. The sincere are familiar with His Zikr and the eyes delight in His vision. The people of Unity delight in His Tawhid. He guides the people who obey Him to a straight path and He allows the people of His love to have the Gardens of Bliss. (Delail Khayrat).
And may all peace and blessings be upon our Master Sayyidina Muhammad (AS). O Allah, bless and grant peace and blessing to the spirit of our master Muhammad among the spirits, and to his body among the bodies, and to his grave among the graves, and to his position among positions, and to his witnessing in witnessings, and to his mention when he is mentioned: a prayer from us on our Prophet. O Allah, convey the greeting to him from us when the greeting of peace is mentioned! Peace be upon the Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah. Peace be upon you, O beloved of Allah. Peace be upon you, O our master Muhammad ibn ‘Abdullah. Peace be upon you and your pure, good family. Peace be upon you and your wives, the Mothers of the Believers. Peace be upon you and all your Companions. Peace be upon us and on the righteous slaves of Allah. (Delail Khayrat).
And may all peace and blessings be upon the Four Khulafa-e-Rashideen, Hz. Abu Bakr el-Siddiq, Hz. Umar el-Faruq, Hz. Osman el-Ghani, Hz. Ali el-Murtaza, and all those who follow them until the Last Day.
Ya Ayyuhal Mu’minun! O Believers. Welcome to you on this Holy Day of Jummah. Welcome to you on the First Jummah of the Month of Jamadial-Ahir. Welcome to you as we are on the door step of the month of Allah, Rajab Shahrullah. O Believers! The Three Holy Months are about to enter to be our guest. We should start to prepare ourselves now and to make our hearts to be ready, so that we can welcome the months of Rajab, Shaban, and Ramazan with the respect and honor that they deserve.
O Believers! Allah (SWT) is saying in the Holy Quran, in Surah Muhammad: BismillahirRahmanirRahim. And among them, [ya Rasulallah], are those who listen to you, until when they depart from you, they say to those who were given knowledge, “What has he said just now?” Those are the ones of whom Allah has sealed over their hearts and who have followed their [own] desires. And those who are guided – He increases them in guidance and gives them their righteousness. Then do they await except that the Hour should come upon them unexpectedly? But already there have come [some of] its signs. Then what good to them, when it has come, will be their remembrance? (47:16-18). SadaqallahulAdzim.
This world has a set period of time. This world, this dunya, was not made to last forever. The Holy Quran is saying, in Surah Ghafir: BismillahirRahmanirRahim. O my people! This life of the present is nothing but (temporary) convenience: It is the Hereafter that is the Home that will last. (40:39). SadaqallahulAdzim.
O Believers! This world is going to end. And knowing that this dunya is going to end, it is one of the most important knowledges in Islam. One of the greatest Hadith, which the scholars of Islam is saying contains all of the essential knowledge of our religion, is the Hadith of Jibril (AS). And in that Hadith, Hz. Jibril (AS) came to the earth in the form of a man, and he asked the Holy Prophet (AS) questions. When we hear this Hadith today, people usually talk only about the first three questions: “What is Islam, what is Iman, and what is Ihsan?” But after that Hz. Jibril (AS) asked another question. He asked, Inform me about the Hour. Rasulallah (AS) said, “About that, the one questioned knows no more than the questioner.” So Jibril said, “Then, inform me about its signs.”
Rasulallah (AS) said, “They are that the slave-girl will give birth to her mistress, that you will see the barefooted, naked, destitute, the herdsmen of the sheep (competing with each other) in raising lofty buildings.” And that was the last question that Hz. Jibril asked. Hz. Umar was sitting with Holy Prophet (AS) at that incident, and after Hz. Jibril left, Holy Prophet (AS) said, “Ya Umar, do you know who what was?” Hz. Umar said, Allah and His Prophet know better. And Holy Prophet (AS) said,”That was Jibril. He came to teach you your religion.”
This is one of the most important Hadith to come down to us. It is a dialogue between the Archangel Jibril (AS) and the Master of the Prophets, Sayyidina Muhammad (AS). And this Hadith is teaching us the most important knowledge. And this Hadith should make us understand how important the knowledge of Ahir Zaman is. Because the order of the questions is increasing in the subtlety and degree of the knowledge. The first question is Islam. Then Iman. Then Ihsan. And after Ihsan, Holy Prophet (AS) is asked about the Hour and its signs.
This is enough for people of understanding to see that the knowledge of Ahir Zaman, it is one of the highest knowledges, and one of the most vital knowledges that comes after Ihsan. Ihsan, cannot survive without knowlege of the Ahir Zaman. And Holy Prophet (AS), who was the Warner to the Nations, he was constantly speaking about Ahir Zaman and its signs. If a man sits down and listens to these signs and he makes tafakkur for just a moment, his heart must shake. Because almost all of the signs that Holy Prophet (AS) mentioned have come to pass.
Hz. Abdullah ibn Umar (RA) is narrating in a Hadith recorded in the Sunan of Ibn Majah that Holy Prophet (AS) came to the people and said: O Muhajirun, you may be afflicted by five things; Allah forbid that you should live to see them. If fornication should become widespread, you should realize that this has never happened without new diseases befalling the people which their grandfathers never suffered. If people should begin to cheat in weighing out goods, you should realize that this has never happened without drought and famine befalling the people, and their rulers oppressing them. If people should withhold Zakat, you should realize that this has never happened without the rain being stopped from falling; and were it not for the animals’ sake, it would never rain again. If people should break their Bay’ah with Allah and His Messenger, you should realize that this has never happened without Allah sending an enemy against them to take some of their possessions by force. If the leaders do not govern according to the Book of Allah, you should realize that this has never happened without Allah making them into groups and making them fight one another. (Ibn Majah)
And Hz. Ali (KW) is saying that Holy Prophet (AS) said: If my Ummah bears fifteen characteristics, Fitnah will befall it.’ Someone asked, ‘What are they, Ya Rasulullah?’ He said, ‘When any gain is shared out only among the rich, with no benefit to the poor; when a trust becomes a means of making a profit; when paying Zakat becomes a burden; when a man obeys his wife and disobeys his mother; and treats his friend kindly while shunning his father; when voices are raised in the masjids; when the leader of a people is the worst of them; when people treat a man with respect because they fear some evil he may do; when much wine is drunk; when men wear silk; when female singers and musical instruments become popular; when the last ones of this Ummah curse the first ones – then let them expect a red wind, or the earth to swallow them, or to be transformed into animals. (Tirmidhi). And the Prophet of Allah speaks the Truth.
What more do we need to hear? If we have eyes to see and ears to hear, we know that these signs have overtaken this world, one by one. And yet mankind walks arrogantly on the earth thinking that nothing is going to happen to him. Muslims and non-Muslims. Muslims lead their lives ignoring these warnings. Modern Muslims say, oh this is just eschatology. These are like fairy tales. This doesn’t have to do with being a good person, this is not spiritual, this has nothing to do with politics, or with knowledge that is going to benefit us in this world. This is not activism. Just put it in a book and put it in a bookshelf; when we are curious we will read it, but this is irrelevant to our lives. Modern Muslims.
How can the knowledge of Ahir Zaman be irrelevant when we are living in Ahir Zaman? It is just like our Sheykh is saying: Mankind has become like people sinking in a ship, saying, we need to learn astronomy, when the only knowledge that will benefit them is the knowledge of how to swim when the ship is sinking.
O Believers! Holy Prophet (AS) did not just tell us about the signs of Ahir Zaman. He told us how to survive in Ahir Zaman. He told us signs of Ahir Zaman that no other Prophet told their nation. He is saying in a Hadith that is recorded in Bukhari and Muslim, Shall I tell you something about the Dajjal which no Prophet has ever told his people before me? The Dajjal is one-eyed and will bring with him something which will resemble Paradise and Hell; but that which he calls Paradise will in fact be Hell. I warn you against him as Nuh warned his people against him. (Bukhari, Muslim). And he (AS) is saying in another Hadith, Dajjal will not appear until the people will neglect talking about him, and until the Imams will abandon talking about him on the Mimbar.
This sign is maybe one of the most terrifying signs. Because nobody is talking about Dajjal anymore. Nobody is warning against Dajjal anymore. Not Ahlu Sunnah. Not Wahhabis. Not Shias. Not so-called Sufis. Nobody. The only thing we hear about Dajjal is a complete silence. And in that silence, Dajjal is spreading his system across the whole world while the people are sleeping.
Run to the people who are talking about Dajjal. Run to the people who are taking the knowledge from the Hadith of Jibril and living by that knowledge. Run to the people who are preserving the teachings of the Holy Prophet (AS) about the Ahir Zaman and how to survive in the Ahir Zaman. In reality, the sign of a true Inheritor of Rasulallah in this day and age is that he speaks about Ahir Zaman and he warns against Dajjal. And he prepares for Mahdi (AS). Anyone else is playing games. And indeed, the one who is not warning against Dajjal, he has, in one way or another, fallen into the traps of Dajjal.
We are Osmanli Naksibendis. We are walking on the Path of Sahib el-Sayf Sheykh Abdul Kerim el-Kibrisi el-Rabbani, who is the Khalifa of Sultan el-Evliya Sheykh Mevlana Muhammad Nazim Adil el-Hakkani, who is the Inheritor of Sultan el-Evliya Sheykh Abdullah Faiz el-Dagestani. May the shade of their protection be above us always. And our Sheykh and our Grandsheykhs, non-stop, they have been warning the nation about Ahir Zaman and about Dajjal. Because to warn about Dajjal is sunnah. Even the Prophet (AS), 1400 years ago, warn the Sahaba e-Kiram about Dajjal, to the extent that they said, ‘we thought that Dajjal is behind us hiding behind the date trees.’ It was that urgent. It was that immediate. 1400 years ago. And our Grandsheykhs have continued that tradition. Almost every Sohbet, saying, beware from Dajjal. Beware from his tricks and traps. Protect yourself. Don’t be in Ghaflet. Just like Holy Prophet (AS) was warning his people from Dajjal so much that they thought he was hiding behind the trees, in the same way, our Sheykh has warned us against Dajjal. But this warning is not academic. This warning is not theoretical.Because we are living in the time of Dajjal.
He is saying, Dajjal has not appeared but he has sent his Khalifas to prepare the world. And the system of Dajjal has taken over every country and every system that is in this world, waiting for the time for that big one to come. Our Sheykh is saying Dajjal is going to come in so many different forms. To Christians different, to Muslims, to Jews completely different. Be careful, we are in those days. The Prophet (AS) was talking to the Sahaba-Kiram about the confusion of Dajjal so much that the Sahaba-e Kiram were saying, `We thought that Dajjal was behind the date trees. As soon as the Prophet (AS) is leaving, he’s going to come out.’ It passed fourteen hundred years. It is now the time. All the deputies of Dajjal have appeared. You need eyes to see. So many are running after those ones. Watch yourself, watch your step. You are responsible from your life.
Either you enter to Paradise or you build yourself to hell. Whichever side you fall into, that shows your faith and with that faith you cannot pass the Sirat. These words are for you, for me and the whole mankind.
O Believers! Don’t become followers of Dajjal. Wake up to the reality of this dunya. Wake up to the reality of Ahir Zaman. Wake up and understand that we are in an era of this world that all of history has been waiting for. We can be on the side of Mehdi (AS), or we can be on the side of Dajjal. The choice is in front of us. We make that choice in how we live each day. We must make the right choice. To be with Mehdi (AS), we must stay with the people of Mehdi. Run away from Dajjal and Dajjalic people and Dajjalic system. Run to safety. Good news to those who are running to goodness. Seyh Efendi is saying: We are watching the hadith of Rasulullah (AS) and we are very happy about it. He is saying, “Islam began strange and it’s going to end strange. Blessings and protection to the strangers. Especially those who are going to come in the Ahir Zaman, in the End of Times.”
That news is for the people who are living now because we are in the second Jahiliyya time and we are almost at the end of that Jahiliyya too. The good news is that the Protector is waiting to appear inshaAllah ar-Rahman. We must be looking forward to that. Are we ready for that?
O Believers! That question is for us- are we ready for that? In this Day of Jummah, we must make the intention to be ready, to live our lives so that we will be ready. Amin.
