All praises are due to Allah, Lord of the Universes. All praises are due to Allah, Who is the First, the Last, the Manifest, the Hidden, the One Who has Might and Power over all things. All praises are due to Allah Who created Adam (AS) from water and clay, and honored the Children of Adam. All praises are due to Allah Who sent His Habib, Sayyidina Muhammad (AS), as the Master of the Bani Adam and the Guide to the Straight Path.

May all peace and blessings be upon the Sultan of Creation, the Imam of the Messengers, the Possessor of the Makam al-Mahmud, the Rider of the Buraq, the Guest of the Miraj, Sayyidina Muhammad (AS), and upon his noble family and blessed companions, especially upon the Four Khulafa-e-Rashideen, Hz. Abu Bakr el-Siddiq, Hz. Umar el-Faruq, Hz. Osman el-Ghani, and Hz. Ali el-Murtaza, and all those who follow them until the Last Day.

O Believers! Today is the day that we recognize that the Khilafat, which was the link between the Muslims and their Prophet, which cast the shade of Allah upon us, today is the day that it was veiled. Let us then, today, remember the Khutba that was given in the times of the Ottoman Empire, when we still had the honor of having a Khalifa. The Imam would read from the Mimbar, saying: “Ya Allah! Have Mercy on the Khalifas who have been on the Right Path, and the Imams who have been well-guided, who have ruled with righteousness and have worked for justice. Ya Allah! Aid and help Your servant and Your Khalifa, the Great Sultan, the Exalted Hakan, the Shadow of Allah on Earth, the Master of the Kings of Arabia and the Ajam, Servant of the Two Sacred Houses. For he is a Sultan, son of a Sultan, the Ghazi Sultan Abdul Hamid Han, son of the Ghazi, Sultan Abdul Majid Han, son of the Ghazi Sultan Mahmud Han, may Allah cause his Khilafat to endure and to spread justice in his reign and cause righteousness and generosity to extend on the two worlds to the end of time and to the end of ages, Amin!”

That Khutba is a message to us from our Grandfathers, from the Saliheen that passed before us, reminding us and giving us a taste of a time when the Ummat still had honor, still had nobility. Not like today. Today, we are living in a state of disgrace that we have put on ourselves. We, the Muslims, the Ummat-i-Muhammed, we are living in a situation that was beyond the imagination of those who came before us. We are living in a situation where the blood of the innocents flows like that of Qurban animals, when the cries of the small children go unheard amidst the screaming of missiles, when the weakest are thrown into the garbage by the strongest and the cruelest. We are living, at the same time, as if it is during Prophetic times. We are living in times that the Holy Prophet (AS) told us about.

So many Muslims today, they have taken the wine of sheytan and are drunk thinking that they are living in the second Glory days of Islam. They are looking at the opera houses and art galleries being opened in the Hijaz, at the weapons and armaments being amassed by Muslim nations, they are looking at their own full bellies, and they are looking at the food that they waste, and thinking that the Muslims have finally, they have finally collected enough power in this world to be taken seriously. That is the lie that this dunya, that this yalan dunya is telling them. But the Truth comes from the tongue of the Holy Prophet (AS). As Allah (SWT) is saying in Surah Najm: BismillahirRahmanirRahim “By the Star when it goes down. Your Companion (Muhammad (AS)) is neither astray nor being misled. Nor is he speaking from his own desire- It is nothing but an inspiration that is inspired. He was taught by the One Who is Mighty in Power.” Sadaqallahul Azim (53:1-5). And that Holy Prophet (AS), his words were not contained to the time that he was living in. His words, and his orders, and his guidance, it reaches to this moment, to the age we are living in, up til the end of the ages. He told us about what is happening today in Shaam-i-Sherif. He said, “The day of the great massacre is in the camp of the Muslims, in a land which is called al-Ghouta, beside a city that is called Damascus, from the best of the cities of Shaam.” (Abu Dawud).

That great massacre is happening today, as we are speaking. Our brothers and sisters, our brothers and sisters, our children and your children, they are being killed non-stop. The parents cannot even take their bleeding children to the hospital because of the bombing, and so they have to just look at their own kids while they bleed to death. They are saying “at least now, you’ll never be hungry anymore. Because there is food in Jannat.” They are saying “we don’t pray five time a day, because now we pray six times a day. Because with our five prayers, we always have the funeral prayer, the Jenazah prayer, to pray as well.” But the hearts of the Muslims have not moved. The hearts of the Muslim leaders, they are filled with their own idols. Maybe the hearts of the normal Muslims, sometimes they are moving. Maybe the regular Muslims they are looking at this on Facebook, or on the news, and they are crying and asking Allah (SWT) in the night to help the Ummat. Definitely the Evliyaullah are crying. Definitely the Righteous ones, the Saliheen are crying.

But the hearts of the leaders of the Muslims, they are dead. The leaders that we have chosen. The leaders that they have been chosen for us.  The hearts, especially, of the Arab leaders, are dead. Their hearts are only alive when it comes to money and gold and profit. And fighting with each other. The hearts of the ones who have power in their hands, they are dead. Not just dead, but they are alive inside this oppression. They are counting the slaughtered people like people count money, thinking how many they have to kill to gain worldly advantage. They are aligning themselves with the enemies of Allah from non-Muslim governments to divide up the lands and the people of Islam, so that they themselves can take a small cut and live in luxury. The Arab Kings and Princes, they have sold the lives of the Ummat so that they can enjoy the life of this dunya.

Holy Prophet (AS) told us about these ones. He said, “Woe, a curse to the rulers! And a curse to the chiefs! And a curse to the trustees! Some people will wish on the Day of Resurrection that their hair was hanging from the sky and swinging between heaven and earth rather than to have done what they did.” (Ahmad). And these evil Muslim leaders today, they tell the regular people, “this is all your responsibility.” They tell the people who don’t have resources, who don’t have any influence, “you can fix this. Only you can fix this. It is your job to fix the world, because we live in democracy. So the majority will fix this world. You are the ones who should be going and solving the problems in Syria, in Palestine, in Kashmir, in Burma, in Chechnya, in Yemen, this is your job.” And inside of it, it is also partly saying “it is your fault that all these things are happening.” Because the one who does the fault, he has to fix it. But they have the power, they have the armies, they have the money, but they are not going to do anything. The regular people have to go and fix this.

And normal Muslims, because they feel so much guilt and pain looking at the images of the suffering Ummat, they take this on themselves. They take this burden in themselves. But in the system of Islam, this is the job of the rulers- not the common people. And when the rulers give up their responsibility, they are the ones who will be punished. Allah (SWT) says in Holy Quran, in Surahtul Shura, BismillahirRahmanirRahim, “The blame is only against the ones who wrong the people and tyrannize upon the earth without right. Those will have a painful punishment.” (Surah Shura, Ayat 42). And the Holy Prophet (AS) said, “Any one who has power who misrules his followers will go to Hell.” (Bukhari). And the ruler who is a tyrant is the top of the list who is not going to receive Shafaat on the Day of Judgement.

Whatever is happening to us today, it has a cause. So many people are trying to look for a solution without looking at the cause of the problem. But our Sheykh is teaching us, if you do not know what made you fall down, how can you get up?  We fell down. We fell down when the Khalifa was removed from us. When our Khilafat was removed, our honor went with it. Our protection went with it. Our unity went with it. Every single disaster that has come to the heads of the Ummat today, it can all be traced back to the loss of the Khilafat and the Sultanate. Anyone who does not accept this reality is either ignorant, or they are working for Dajjal.

This is not just a spiritual reality, this is historical fact. Look at the history of Islam. There is not a single time you can find when this kind of weakness entered the Ummat. You cannot even find a loss of territory inside the Khilafat until the very end of the Ottoman Empire, because of the betrayal of those ones that call themselves Muslims. Because with the Khilafat comes strength from Allah, because he is representing Allah. Even if there was political problems, or some fitnah, that strength overtakes everything because the Khilafat brings with it the Might and Power and the Support of Allah (SWT). Our Sheykh is explaining this saying that, even when there was problems, he is saying, SahibulSaif, “still Islam was rising. Islam was spreading although there was a problem inside and all those holy ones were going one by one, all those strong ones were going one by one, the Sahaba-e Kiram and the Tabi’in they were all dying, some were becoming martyrs and for some their time came and they were dying, but Islam was still rising.”

Islam stopped rising with the end of the Khilafat. Why? Because there is no Islam without Khilafat. Yes, there can still be Muslims, but there cannot be Islam. There cannot be an Islam that rules, because Islam it is a way of life, it is a system, it is a civilization. There cannot be an Islam that rises. There cannot be an Islam that rules.  There cannot be an Islam that protects honor and life, because that Islam, the Islam of the Holy Prophet (AS) and the Khulafa-e-Rashideen, the Islam of the Sultans and the Khalifas, the Islam of the Evliya and the Saliheen, that Islam is founded upon the necessity of Khilafat. Without Khilafat, we have the Muslims of today- divided, weak, and disgraced. We cannot even have Jummah without a Sultan. The first condition of Jummah in the book Al-Hidayah, the most important Fiqh book of the Hanafi school, the first condition is: “An Islamic Ruler has allowed the Jummah to be prayed.” O Muslims. That is our condition. Without the Sultan, we cannot even fulfill the basic Farz of the Jummah. May  our Jummah be acceptedMay Allah forgive us and have Mercy on us. Which is why in the Khutba of every Jummah, for over one thousand four hundred years, ti si the name of the Khalifah that is mentioned. That name is no longer mentioned. InsyaAllah, in this Dergah, it will continue to be mentioned.

So we know our situation. And we know how we fell. Now the question remains, what do we do now? Who do we take the answers from? Ignorant Muslims today, laik Muslims, who do not know the reality of our situation they don’t know how we got here, they are proposing solutions. Some say, we must fight. Some they say, we must study. Some say, we must become rich. Some say, we must gain political influence. All are running to action without knowing how to act. It is like a man running to swing a sword without any training- he will only hurt himself and others. And that is what is happening. The scholars and professors and politicians who are trying to fix the problems of the Ummat, they are only causing more and more disasters.

We are following our Sheykh, that Friend of Allah, Elhamdulillah, the one who knows Allah and the one whom Allah knows. And he is following his Sheykh, who is following his Sheykh, following a Golden Chain that links us back to Sayyid-i-Kai’nat Hz. Muhammad Mustafa (AS). And he told us what to do in this Ahir Zaman. Aleyhi Salatu wa Selam, he said, “There will come a time when the best property of a Muslim will be sheep which he will take to the tops of mountains and the places of rainfall so as to flee with his religion from the fitnah.” (Bukhari). And he is saying (AS): “Before the Hour” before the Hour, the Hour of what? The Hour of the Judgement Day, the hour of Kiamet, the hour of the end of this world, the end of all creation. “Before the Hour there will be fitnah like pieces of dark night, in which a man will be a believer in the morning and an unbeliever by the evening; or a believer in the evening and an unbeliever by the morning. He who sits during this time, it is better than he who stands; and he who stands is better than the one who walks; and he who walks is better than the one who runs. So during such times, break your bows, cut your bow-strings, and blunt your swords upon stones. If one of them should enter upon you, then be like the better of the two sons of Adam.” (Ibn Majah).

One day the Holy Prophet (AS) asked Hz. Abu Dharr: “How will you be when killing will affect the people such that Ahjar al-Zayt (a place near Madinah), how will you be when killing will afflict the people such that this town will be blood drenched, will be wet with blood?” Hz. Abu Dharr said: “Whatever Allah and His Prophet want of me.” Prophet (AS) said: “Be with those who are like-minded as you are.” Hz. Abu Dharr said: “Ya Rasulallah, should I not take my sword and strike those who do that?” Holy Prophet (AS) said: “If you do, then you shall be just like them. Instead, stay in your houses.” Abu Dharr said: “Ya Rasulallah, what if they enter my house?” He (AS) said: “If you are afraid that the glimmer of the sword will dazzle you, lift the edge of your garment over your face and let him bear his own sin as well as yours; and he will be one of the inhabitants of Hell.” (Ibn Majah).

We have entered into the time of patience. We have entered the time to be like the better one of the sons of Adam. Habil- not to be like Qabil. We have entered the time that Holy Prophet (AS) is telling us, stay out from the fitnah.  This is not weakness. This is strength, and it is intelligence, and it is showing reliance and trust in Allah (SWT). We are following the Sunnah of Hz. Ibrahim (AS), who while he was flying toward the fire, said “Hasbunallah wa ni’mal wakil.” This is the Sunnah of the Sahabis when they were in Makkah, who sat and trusted in Allah while they were being tortured and killed and oppressed. But never forget- after the time of Makkah came the Hijrah, and from the Hijrah came the victory of Madinah. O Believers! Don’t lose hope. After the darkness of tyranny is going to come the Light of Justice.

Sahib el-Sayf is saying: “You cannot change anything anymore. It is not for us to change it. It needs big power to come down to change the wrong direction of this world. So Holy Prophet (AS) is saying to us, “When you reach to the end of times, when you reach to those times when you see wrong but you are not going to be able to change it with your hands, you are going to see wrong but you are not going to be able to change it with your tongue, then you have turn to your heart and say, ‘Oh my Lord, I am not accepting this wrong thing. I am far away from that wrong thing and from that wrong person.'” And Holy Prophet (AS) is saying, “That is the weakest of faith.” But you must do that for you to find safety. You must do that for you to keep your faith. And he (AS) is saying, “When you see the whole crowds running into wrong direction, then pull yourselves away to the mountainsides. Live alone, pray alone and wait for the Savior. Wait for Mahdi (AS) and Isa (AS) to fix this world. You cannot do anything.” If all men come together they cannot change this wrong direction that it is going towards, so fast now. Isa (AS) is coming down with Mahdi (AS) to change it. InshaAllah ar-Rahman we are asking our Lord to count us among those good ones to be helping those and to be helping the work of those. And we are believing that we have entered to that era. Soon these activities are going to take place in this world. We must prepare ourselves for that. Preparing ourselves is sitting and remembering Allah by Zikir for power to come to your heart. Don’t think you need gun power or you need this or that. No. You need the power of your heart. When the power in the heart is strong then you will be winning. Otherwise, tyranny is going to be taken away from this world, every tyrant is going to be taken away from this world and if we have any tyranny in our hearts then we will go with them.”

Ya Rabbi! We are asking You to remove tyranny from our hearts. We are asking You to make us be prepared for the events that are coming. Ya Rabbi! We are asking You to let us to be with the servants of Hz. Mehdi (AS). Ya Rabbi! We are asking You to help the Ummat-i-Muhammad. Ya Rabbi! We are asking You to be pleased with us. Amin.
