Question: Can we visit our Sheykh with Astral Travel?
It is like if you ask me, can we visit our Sheykh by flying, catching a flight and coming to the Dergah. Can we do that? I say yes you can do that provided you have the money to buy a ticket and you have a passport and you have a visa.
When it comes to that level that you are talking astral travel and all this kind of stuff, majority, almost all, they don’t have the means to buy the ticket, they don’t have the visa, they don’t have a passport, and that kind of visiting it is forbidden. Because it is not you going, it is someone taking you. Everybody thinks, if I travel I’m going. You are not going nowhere. Someone is taking you. Don’t you know in this world, you don’t go nowhere, someone is taking you. You take a bus, the bus driver is taking you. They are taking a plane, the pilot is taking you. ‘I want to walk.’ Walk, it’ll take you ten thousand years. Walk. But oh, you know, to go easier, faster, someone has to take you. Ah, even if you are going to go by yourself, you have to use your legs.
So those kinds of situations, those kinds of things, there’s no permission for that now because there’s so much corruptions and evil in those kind of body of knowledge. And sheytan has corrupted it so much that the whole body of knowledge now, those ones who are running after it, they are going to get corrupted. Not necessary. You understand? Now you need to learn how to escape from yourself. You need to learn how to put your function and the purpose of this Tarikat. All Tarikat is to leave our ego and to go to Allah SWT. So learning how to unshackle yourself, to remove the chain. Dunya is one chain, catching here. Your ego is another chain. Sheytan is another chain. Your hawa is another chain. Learning how to cut that so that your soul can be free. That is important. And those ones who claim this and that, they have not learn first to disconnect themselves from this four enemies, and in realities these are four enemies that’s taking them there and it’s not taking them to any good place of elevation and it’s bringing them down.
May Allah protect us, insya’Allah. The ma’rifat these days is to know what is beneficial for you, what is permissible for you. It is not to know everything. It is not eating that is going to make you alive. It is not eating that is going to make you to become healthy. It is knowing what to eat, when to eat and how to eat it. So it is not eating as much as you want but it is becoming more and more refine in your understanding of what you need to consume. Same thing with the ways, Insya’Allah. SelamAleykum warahmatullahi wabarakatu.
