Question: It’s connected to our brother’s question. For the people how they enter our way and they leave. I feel sad, confused, and puzzled. I don’t know how to get rid of this feeling?
Eh, get over it. Be busy. You cannot be busy with that. We cannot be busy with that. Do we have other things to be busy about? So many other things to be busy about. Be busy with that. That’s how you can move forward.
Sheykh Effendi, so many things troubling him also, he’s not being busy with that. He’s moving forward. He’s giving all the openings for us to move forward. Couldn’t be, things are not so like that during his time, now he’s giving us. So he’s telling us really, ‘be busy with that, what I give you.’ Yes, sad a little bit. So what? We understand little bit Sheykh Effendi what he went through. Imagine what Hz Abu Bakar as-Siddiq went through. Hz Abu Bakar as-Siddiq, imagine what he went through, not just as a sadness that the Holy Prophet (AS) passed, but that all the Bedouin, they all betrayed. Not only they betrayed, but they are coming back to destroy him and Medina and Mecca. He didn’t curse at them. He never curse. Breh, if you’re a man, cursing and all these kind of things, woman they may do, the man if you have a problem, you pull your sword. That’s it. Come to the medan, come to the middle. Correct or no? First, change with your hand. You’re man, you change it with your hand. You have a problem, come to the middle, come in front of me and say. They cannot even do that. So Hz Abu Bakar as-Siddiq, he said, ‘okay, now we have to go.’ The Muslims were small at that time. After so many have betrayed, they were small. In fact Hz Umar was saying, ‘we cannot go out to go to war with the Romans, with the Byzantine.’ He says, ‘we cannot. We have to protect ourselves because this Bedouins behind us, they are coming to attack us right now, and we are small. They are big.’ And Abu Bakar as-Siddiq said, “we cannot stay to protect ourselves. Because Prophet is saying we have to go and fight the Byzantine. That’s the last thing he said, ‘don’t forget the Romans,’ he said, ‘go fight the Romans.’” Understand Hz Umar, the sword of Islam, he was saying, ‘this is a bad political move, bad military tactics, bad this…..everything is against logic.’ You understand? Hz Abu Bakar said, ‘No! There is something that is more than logic. What happened Ya Umar, you become a woman?’ Imagine saying that to Hz Umar. What happened to that halim salim one, who cannot even stand up to recite Fatiha, that when he stand up to become imam to recite Fatiha, ‘Maliki yawmi’d-din,’ he passed out. He fainted from the fear of Allah. Halim, Salim. What happened to that halim salim? He became the most toughest one that he was even giving a lecture to Hz Umar, about war.
No need to curse. What is this, sending la’anat? What is this, you become Yahudi? Yahudi they do that, sending la’anat. You become other ones? Most our Sheykh is saying, ‘Ya Rabbi, You are watching, You are seeing, Ya Rabbi. As You like. You are watching. As You like.’ You become like that in the way of Allah, Allah will make you to become harder than metal. Because that time you are not taking it personally, you understand? Something you have to do. It’s not because you are hurt, you are this, you are that. Something takes over you. This is right, you have to do this. It doesn’t matter if you put everything in there. You have to sacrifice everything. This is the right thing to do. Time is coming. Winds they are shaking. Hold on tight. Now I’m going to say, I used to say a lot, hold on tight, hold on tight. Now I’m going to say, don’t hold on tight. Check to see what you are holding on to. Check to see, because if your connection it is not strong, it doesn’t matter how tightly you are holding on, it will break. Check to see what you are holding on to. Check your connection.
How are you going to understand the value of something? Something has to be tested. Test yourself. So many, little bit of this, their faith shake. Little bit of that, their faith shake. Ah, not following. Men and women, young and old, ‘how this can happen? How this can happen?….’ Your little brain cannot function, cannot process that. As you like. Little bit more time is given to us. You can run around a little bit more, after that no more. Our leash is in our Sheykh’s hands. Wa minallahu Taufiq, al-Fatiha.
