Make Your Prophet Happy

Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen. Wa Salatu wa Salamu ala Ashrafil Ambiya’i wa Imam al-Mursaleen Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammadin wa ala alihi wa sahbihi ajmain.

All praises are due to Allah, Lord of the Universes. All praises are due to Allah Who says in the Holy Quran: BismillahirRahmanirRahim “Muhammad (AS) is not the father of any man among you- but he is the Messenger of Allah, and the Seal of the Prophets. And Allah is ever Aware of all things. O you who believe! Make Zikir of Allah with a lot of Zikir. And glorify Him morning and evening. It is He Who sends blessings on you, as do His Angels, that He may bring you out from the depths of Darkness into Light; and He is full of Mercy to the Believers. The greeting on the day when they meet Him will be “Salam (peace)!” And He has prepared for them a generous reward. O Prophet! In truth, We have sent you as a Shahid (a witness), and a Mubashhir (a Giver of Good News), and a Nazeer (a Warner)- and as one who invites to Allah by His permission, and as a lamp spreading light. Then give the Good News to the Believers, that they shall have from Allah a great bounty. And don’t obey the disbelievers and the hypocrites. Pay no attention to their annoyances, but put your Trust in Allah. Allah is sufficient as a Trustee.” Sadaqallahul Azim (33:40-48).

“Ya Allah! O Allah, raise the rank of Sayyidina Muhammad, ennoble his station, increase his scale, make his proof radiant, make his religion victorious, give him abundant reward, make his light shine, make his honor endure, unite him to his descendants, and the People of his House with what gives him, and exalt him among the Prophets who have gone before him.” Amin (Delail Khayrat).

May peace and blessings be upon him, and upon his noble family, and upon his blessed companions, especially upon the Four Khulafa-e-Rashideen, Hz. Abu Bakr el-Siddiq, Hz. Umar el-Faruk, Hz. Osman el-Ghani, and Hz. Ali el-Murtaza, and all those who follow them until the Last Day. May peace and blessings be upon the Ulama’ of Taqwa and upon the Awliya of Righteousness. May peace and blessings be upon the Mashayikh of the Most Distinguished Naksibendi Tarikat. May peace and blessings be upon the Khulafa’ and the Sultans, especially upon the Glorious Padishahs of the House of Osman, the Ottoman Hunkars, and upon all those who honor them and follow in their footsteps, until the Last Day. Amin.

Ya Ayyuhal Mu’minoon! O Believers! Welcome to you in this Holy Day of Jummah, on the 11th of Rabiul Awwal. Welcome to you, as we are celebrating the Day that the history of mankind changed forever. Welcome to you as we are celebrating the coming of the Most Beloved One in Divine Presence. Welcome to you as we are preparing to enter into the Mawlid al-Nabi.

This is not a “birthday celebration.” If a person does Mawlid like that, then it is for his ego. If a person does Mawlid just to put up lights, and to sing songs, and to eat sweets, then yes, that person is not really honoring the Holy Prophet’s birth. The question that we have to ask ourselves in this day is, why is the birth of the Holy Prophet (AS) special? Surely, the great Scholars and Friends of Allah, they did not honor the Mawlid simply to distribute sweets. What happened when Holy Prophet (AS) was sent to this world that needs to be honored?

Everything in Creation was celebrating when the Holy Prophet came to this world- but why were they celebrating? Listen to what the Kaaba, Baytullah said. When the time of the Holy Prophet’s birth was coming close, the people saw that the Kaaba split in half. The people started thinking of the reason this happened, saying, “maybe it is because Abdullah ibn Abdul Muttalib died,” and some said, “Maybe it is because the father of Amina died.” Then the Kaaba eSherif, the Kaaba itself spoke and everyone heard, and it said, “O men of Quraysh! This Holy House has not come apart because of the death of any man. I have split because the time of the birth has come close for the Light of this World, the Glory of the Next World, the Shining Lamp of Paradise, Hz. Muhammad ibn Abdullah, to come into the world. He is to be a Great Prophet. He will clean this Holy House of the disgrace and the idols that are dirtying my surroundings. He will make me pure once more with the Light of True Faith. I will become the Qibla of his entire nation and the Hajj will be held by me. Know that it is in honor of his long desired coming that this building has cracked and split.”

Hz. Ibn Abbas (RA), he said that when Holy Prophet (AS) was born, the idols at the Kaaba all fell down and broke. And the people heard a voice from the Ghayb saying, “Disaster on the Quraysh, because the glorious and trusted Prophet (AS) has come in truth, dressed with decorations from the highest gardens of Paradise. Lat and Uzza and the other idols are now finished and done for, and Iblis himself is imprisoned.”

So what was being celebrated the night that the Holy Prophet (AS) was born? It was the celebration of the beginning of the end of kufr and the rise of Hakk. The end of batil and the rise of Islam. Just like the Ayat is saying, BismillahirRahmanirRahim “Truth has come and batil has perished. Indeed, batil is a vanishing thing.” Sadaqallahul Azim (17:81). The Birth of the Holy Prophet (AS), it marks the end of tyranny, of cruelty, and of oppression, and the coming of Justice, of Mercy, and of Light. It is the beginning of that.

That is why there was a group that instead of celebrating Holy Prophet’s birth, was screaming in terror when he was born. Sheytan screamed when the Prophet was born, and he screamed so loud that all his devils came to him and said, “what is wrong with you that you scream so loud?” And he answered, “such a terrible destroyer has been sent down upon us, as you have never known or seen before. What is more, we don’t have any cure from this. It is the Prophet Muhammad (AS), the Mighty and Glorious, the son of Abdullah, the son of Abdul-Muttalib, who was born in Mecca tonight. He has the power to demolish all idols and defeat all unbelief in the whole wide world. He will bring the Light of Islam and spread the faith from east to west. Every place on the earth will hear the call of Tawhid, and the unbelievers will be defeated and disgraced. No trick and no deception will win against his power. The Book he brings will watch over his nation, and his religion and his law will remain valid and in place until the Day of Judgment, and his followers will be assured of their Lord’s forgiveness and grace.” And  he screamed again.

So even sheytan knows the importance of the Holy Prophet (AS). Even sheytan knows the greatness, the most important matter of why the Prophet came to the world. Sheytan knew that his kingdom was finishing, and that Islam would spread from east to west, and the Holy Prophet (AS) had come to bring the Light of Islam throughout the whole world. Islam came to bring light to the world that is in darkness. Islam came with Hakk to destroy the batil.

But today’s Muslims, they don’t want to hear about that kind of a Prophet. Today’s Muslims don’t want to hear about a Prophet who stood against evil and tyranny. Muslims don’t want to hear about a Prophet who was a general and a Sultan. They want to hear about a “Christian” kind of prophet, meek and mild. That is not our Prophet. That is not even what the Prophet Isa (AS) will bring. That is not Sayyid’i Ka’inat Hz. Fahr-i-Alem Muhammad Mustafa (AS). We must love our Holy Prophet (AS) in his reality, not according to our imagination, not according to the latest trend or the style or the fashion. We must change to fit to that Prophet. The whole world must change to fit to that Prophet.

We cannot try to make him fit to us. But that is what so many are doing today, and claiming to be his Ummeti. Are we the Ummetis of that Holy Prophet (AS)? Are we living according to what the Prophet wants? From individuals to groups to nations, from the porters to the governments, especially the Muslim governments, are we living according to what the Holy Prophet wants? Is there a cause today to say “We celebrate because we are going to end the tyranny that is happening in this world right now”? Or Mawlid has become just giving sweets and singing songs?

Listen to what our Sheykh, Sahib el-Sayf, is saying: “Allah is saying to us, to the Nation of Muhammad (AS), “We have created you a nation, a witness nation, you are going to be a witnessing nation on the Judgment Day and you are the nation that speaks the truth and forbids the wrong things.” This is also what Allah has given to us. But the situation that mankind, the Muslims have fallen into today, it’s nowhere near. It’s nowhere near that because the Holy Prophet is saying, “Ahir Zaman is the worst time, the end of the times near the Judgment Day. My nation is going to lose their head. They are going to become headless. And they are not going to order and do the Truth, the Haqq, Amri bil Maruf, they are going to stop it. And Nahi an al Munkar, they are going to stop also stopping the wrong things, wrong activities, wrong thinking, wrong ways and wrong actions.” This is the time. But the Holy Prophet (AS) is saying, “When you will stop showing proper respect to your Holy ones, when adults stop showing proper care and love for their children and when my nation will stop Amri bil Maruf wa Nahi an al Munkar, when they stop that, those people, they are not from us.” Holy Prophet (AS) is saying, “They are not from my nation.”

Two billion Muslims. Seven billion people. Where do we fit into this? In these times, there is no cause for celebration, because these are the darkest times. Darker than the first Jahiliyyah. And the Awliyaullah, they follow the way of being Basheer and Nazeer. Seyh Efendi is giving a warning that comes from the Holy Prophet. Those that do not stand up for Hakk, those that do not enjoin the good and forbid the evil, those who support tyrants and Zalims and zulm and tyrannical systems, they are not from the Nation of the Holy Prophet.

So what happened today? Today’s people say there is no Hakk and there is no Batil. They say that everything is the same. They say that Allah loves everyone, so we must also love everyone. They say that we must tolerate every kind of evil, every kind of batil, every kind of hypocrisy. And they use the Holy Prophet (AS) to justify this. They say, the Prophet was Rahmatalil Alameen, so he is merciful to all the worlds, to everyone, so we must accept and we must tolerate everyone. This is Islam of Ahir Zaman. This is the Islam of the second Jahiliyyah. This is not the Prophet’s Islam.

Do you know who the Holy Prophet (AS) is a Mercy for? He is saying himself in his Hadith Sherif. In the Paradise, the Holy Prophet (AS) has a fountain called the Hawd, where all the believers will meet him. He is describing those believers, saying: “My fountain is like the distance between Eden and ‘Uman, within which there are cups as numerous as stars in the sky. Whoever drinks from it will never be thirsty again forever. Among those of my Ummat to arrive at it are the poor with messy hair and their clothing stained, who are not favored for marriage and not present in the courts of rulers, those who fulfill every right upon them yet are not given any of their rights.” (Mu’jam al-Kabir).

Because the Holy Prophet (AS), he came for his Ummat. When he was born, he went into sajdah and he was saying Ummati, Ummati. He is waiting and loving to meet his Ummat. But he will not accept those who oppress his Ummat, or those who try to change his Ways. He went to war with people like that. He went to war and he took out his sword with his own family who oppressed and who tyrannized. Once he (AS) went to the cemetery, he went to the cemetery and he said, “Peace be upon you, O home of those who had faith. We, if Allah wills, we will join you. I love to see our brothers.” And the Sahaba who were with him said, “Aren’t we your brothers, ya Rasulallah?” And he (AS) said, “You are my Sahaba. But our brothers are those who haven’t come to the world yet.” And the Sahaba asked, “Ya Rasulallah, how will you recognize those people from your nation when they haven’t even been born yet?” And he answered: “Imagine if a man had horses with white marks on their foreheads and legs, among plain black horses. Wouldn’t he recognize his horses? Those ones I recognize, they will come with glowing faces, arms, and legs, from the traces of wudu’. But some people will be chased away from my fountain, just as a stray camel is chased away. I will cry out to them,“Come! Come!”” Prophet is saying (AS), ““I will cry out to them, “Come!” But I will be informed, “These people, they changed themselves after you.” And I will then also say, “be gone, get away!” (Muslim).

Who is chased away from the Hawd? Those who don’t keep their Promise to the Holy Prophet. Those who don’t take care of those whom he loves. Those who don’t have Faith through loving him, the way the Sahaba-e-Kiram loved him.

He is saying: “In truth,” Prophet is saying (AS), “rulers will come after me and whoever enters their doors, supports their lies, and supports their oppression- they are not part of me, and I am not a part of them. They will have no place at my Fountain. Whoever does not enter their doors, does not support their oppression, and does not support their lies, he is part of me, and I am part of him. He will be present at the Fountain.” (Tirmizi).

This is more a serious matter than life and death. This is a matter of Ahiret, of forever. This is a matter of eternity. This is a matter of being saved. We need to look at ourselves. Why do you think our Sheykh, all his life, is waking us up to make us to be aware of the tyrant inside of us and the tyrants that we are living in, the systems of tyranny that we are living in? Even if the man is worshiping 24 hours, and he’s supporting tyranny, he will belong to them. Why do you think our Sheykh is waking us up, when majority of other ones are letting the Murids and the Muslims just to fall more into ghaflet, more into selfishness, more into drunken and heedless stations? The tyrants and the supporters, they have no place amongst the People of the Holy Prophet (AS). He came to end tyranny and to bring down tyrants. And as believers, that must be our mission too. Especially in this Ahir Zaman. If you are not busy with this mission, then you are not busy with Hz Mahdi (AS). Impossible.

Sheykh Abd Kerim

Our Sheykh Efendi is speaking about the seriousness of this, saying: Learn how to be an obedient servant to Allah Jalla wa’Ala. Become a better servant to Allah. Not talking, not bragging, not writing, not sharing- show Taqwa to Allah Jalla wa’Ala Subhanahu wa Ta’ala. Definitely, He is going to put you forward. He is saying, ‘Those ones who have Taqwa they are in the frontlines’. You want to be that one? Move. Go ahead. We are living the worst days, the worst times. And I am very happy about it in reality. I am seeing and I am getting very happy about it. I am very sad for so many people but I am very happy about it because it is the last days that this tyranny is going to be finished. What is tyranny? What is tyranny? A man who doesn’t know his limits. That one is a tyrant. That one is a tyrant to himself and to others. Definitely.

Males and females, those who don’t know their limits are tyrants. Yes. Watch yourselves. Understand and say, ‘Astaghfirullah Ya Rabbi’. You broke your Tawba. You became a tyrant to yourself. Say, ‘Astaghfirullah’. Say, ‘Astaghfirullah Ya Rasulullah. I broke my promise to You. Yes, I broke my promise to You. I broke my promise to Allah. And under the name of Allah and His Prophet (AS), under the name of religion I am just making confusion 24 hours a day’. Who knows what is going to happen this year.

Muslims are still sleeping. The Muslims are looking at the mirror and they are seeing themselves so giant. From the other side they try to show that they are so humble. But they are not. So wake up to yourselves. This is a warning to you and to me. In the last 100 years, the Muslims are running towards the wrong direction. They are not running toward Islam. They are not running towards the Holy Prophet (AS). They are not connected to the Prophet (AS). Their love to the Prophet is a lie. You love the Prophet? How many Salawats are you giving a day?

Count the words that you speak that are Malayani, nonsense and curse words and tell me that they are not more than the Salawat that you are giving to the Prophet (AS) and you are going to find that it is more and I am going to call you a liar, not loving the Prophet (AS) because you are speaking words that Allah and His Prophet (AS) has banned you, has forbidden you.

Allah’s Prophet (AS) is saying to us, ‘The sign that Allah does not love an individual is that the individual is busy with Malayani, with a knowledge that doesn’t concern him or her’. That is a sign that Allah doesn’t like him or her. This is what the Prophet (AS) is saying. So are you still going to claim lies? You are going to say words like that more than Salawats to the Prophet and you are going to say that you love the Prophet (AS)?”

Leave aside malayani. These are words, real words, from a Friend of Allah. Leave aside fake Mawlid celebrations. Leave aside things that are going to please your ego and put you into more ghaflat. Run toward associations that are going to make you understand your ego, to understand yourself, to understand the tyrants inside and outside and how your ego is tricking you and that you are supporting it. Because those associations are the associations of the Holy Prophet (AS). Holy Prophet (AS), he didn’t come to make people to sing and to dance. Holy Prophet (AS) came to make people fulfill their Promise to their Lord, and to stand for Hakk and to oppose batil. Holy Prophet (AS) came to bring the Light of Islam into every house. That work, it didn’t end. That work is continuing. That work is continuing here, with our Sheykh, in this Dergah.

We can be part of that work and insya’Allah we will be the winners. Or we can break our promise and cry here, and hereafter. As our Sheykh is saying more than thirteen years ago, Sheykh Effendi is saying: “Allah (SWT) is the Most Merciful One. We must turn to Him, we must ask forgiveness from Him. We, as Osmanli Naksibendis especially, in this part of the world and on top of this mountain we have another thing to be thankful to our Lord. Don’t forget that in this part of the world there was not a single man saying ‘Allah’. Alhamdulillah with the help, guidance and blessings of our Sheykh we built a mesjid here. In (a few) years time people are coming here from different parts of the world. We didn’t give invitation to anyone. Something is happening, meaning, Allah is bringing them here. You all came here from different parts of the world. You are all here. We are sitting here. We are intending to make a mesjid here (that will go on) continuously until Judgment Day inshaAllah ar-Rahman for the name of Allah (SWT) to be continuously remembered and for five times azan to be called from the top of this mountain. That is bringing another opening to my heart.

There was a time once when Holy Prophet (AS) was old and tired and he was coming from a war. All his clothes were in dust, he entered into his mesjid and he prayed two rakats. He seemed very tired. He was getting old. Hazrat Fatima ran to him and said, “Oh my father, when is this suffering that you are going through going to end?” And he said, “Ya Fatima, do you see that sun?” She said, “Yes, my father.” He said, “The light of Islam, it is like that sun. If it’s not entering into every house in this world then my suffering is not going to end.” And he said, “I am not going to live that long but I am going to have inheritors living in this world. They are going to carry this message to different parts of the world and they are going to bring Islam to different houses in this world.”

So be happy. We should be happy. Every one of you and every one of those people who are doing this kind of work, we should be happy. That is a message given through Holy Prophet (AS) saying, “It is going to be those ones bringing that message to every house in this universe.” It is our aim inshaAllah ar-Rahman that from every house at least one person should become Muslim inshallah. From each house one person should accept Islam inshaAllah ar-Rahman. May Allah (SWT) give our Sheykh long and strong life. He did that job. We are not doing anything. He is the one who did it. He reached to east and west, north and south. We are just a tool here. He reached here. He reached here, he reached to Alaska, he reached to Siberia, he reached to Africa, he reached to Australia and he reached to every part of the world, alhamdulillahi rabbil alameen. That is also enough open miracle for us to understand what Allah (SWT) has blessed us with.”

O Believers. Happiness comes to your heart when you make Allah happy. Allah is the Creator of Happiness, and Allah is the Creator of your heart. Here, alhamdulillah, our Sheykh has opened the Way for us to do the Work of Allah. We should be happy, we should be honored. Here, we have the chance to be the ones that Holy Prophet (AS) was wishing for, to continue his way, to spread the light of Islam into every house. Sit, and think, and understand. This is more important than anything else that we are doing in our lives. If you are doing that work, you are giving relief and happiness to your Prophet. That time, every day is Mawlid for you. If you are running to do the Hizmet, then you are giving some peace to the heart of your Prophet, who came home with dust and with weariness, and found comfort knowing that people would come who would continue his work. That is better than giving a million salawats every day. By doing that work, doing that Hizmet, that is honoring the Mawlid. Because by running after that, then we are running after the reason that Holy Prophet came to this world. If we are running after that, then we are joining with him, we are joining with him, and we will be with him, and we will also say, Ummati, Ummati. This is what the Khalifahs were concentrating on, this is what the Ottoman Padishahs and the Khalifahs they gave their lives for.

Take care in this Mawlid. Take care to be the ones who are bringing happiness to our Prophet. Take care not to be from those who are bringing his sadness or his anger. Do we want to test that? Test and look if we are making his Inheritors, the Evliya, happy with us, or if we are giving them sadness. Then we will know where we are with our Habib.

The Heavens and all of creation, they are celebrating Mawlid. We are hoping that the Mercy of that celebration will rain on us. Sultan el-Evliya Sheykh Mevlana Muhammad Nazim Adil el-Hakkani (KS) is describing that Divine Celebration, saying: “All of the heavens are going to be decorated with such a decoration that has never appeared before this year, for glorifying the “Mawlid Mubarak” of the Seal of Prophets! Ya Muhammad (AS)! Ya Allah! Whole angels, whole real Muslims, their souls are singing, their real beings are singing, “Ya Muhammad (AS)! Dost Muhammad! Jaanim pek sever seni!” Thousands and thousands of such a beautiful singing through the heavens; billions and billions that night will be in celebration in the heavens, for real mu’mins whose hearts are full with the love of Sayyidina Muhammad.

O Mankind! Keep the ways to reach the Seal of Prophets (AS), and then you will be happy here and Hereafter. May Allah Almighty forgive me, you and everyone. May Allah send us Imam al-Mahdi (AS)! May we ask the right ways and may Allah give His Mercy on me, you, and Mankind, making Shaytan down. May Allah send us His Mercy Oceans, of which one drop is enough!” Amin.
