The Prophet’s Heart

Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen. Wa Salatu wa Salamu ala Ashrafil Ambiya’i wa Imam al-Mursaleen Sayyidina wa Sayidinna Mawlana Muhammadin wa ala alihi wa sahbihi ajmain.

All praises are due to Allah, Rabbul Izzat, Who says in the Holy Kuran, in Surah Tawbah: BismillahirRahmanirRahim “Truly, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their wealth- because Jannat will be theirs- they shall fight in the Way of Allah and shall slay and be slain. It is an Oath that is binding on Him in the Tawrah, and in the Injil, and in the Kuran. Who fulfills His Promise better than Allah? Rejoice then in the bargain which you have made- for that is the Supreme Triumph (Fawzun Azeem). Triumphant are those who make Tawba to Him, those who serve Him, those who praise Him, those who fast, those who make Ruku’, those who make Sajdah, those who enjoin the right and forbid the wrong, and those who keep the limits set by Allah. And give glad tidings to the believers.” Sadaqallahul Azim (9:111-112).

May all peace and blessings be upon the Giver of Good Tidings, and the Warner, al-Basheer, al-Nazeer, Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammad Mustafa (AS). May all peace and blessings be upon the one to whom the Kuran-i-Kerim was sent. May peace and blessings be upon the one who Allah (SWT) praised through His Eternal Words, in Surah Tawba, saying: BismillahirRahmanirRahim “There has come unto you a Messenger from amongst yourselves. Grievous to him is what you suffer. He is full of concern for you. For the believers he is full of pity, merciful. But if they turn away, (ya Muhammad (AS)), say: “Allah is enough for Me. La ilaha illa Hu. I have put my trust in Him. And He is the Lord of the Supreme Throne.” Sadaqallahul Azim (9:128-129).

May peace and blessings be upon Sayyidina Muhammad (AS), who is Rauf and Raheem. May peace and blessings be upon his noble family and his blessed companions, especially upon the Four Friends of Truth, Hz. Abu Bakr el-Siddiq, Hz. Umar el-Faruk, Hz. Osman el-Ghani, and Hz. Ali el-Murtaza, and all those who follow them until the Last Day. May peace and blessings be upon the Mashayikh of this Naksibendi Path, the Sultans of Ahiret. May peace and blessings be upon the Ottoman Padishahs, through whom the Ummat was honored, the innocent were protected, and the zalims were brought to justice. May Allah raise their Makams. May Allah love those who love them. May Allah curse those who hate them. May Allah hasten the return of their rights. Amin.

Ya Ayyuhal Mu’minoon! O Believers! We are approaching the Mawlid-i-Nabi, the Day of the Birth of the Holy Prophet (AS). Our creation, our existence, our life, it comes because of that Holy Prophet (AS). Without his birth, there is no sun, no moon, no heavens, no earth. As our Sheykh, Sahib el-Sayf Sheykh Abdul Kerim el-Kibrisi el-Rabbani (KS) is saying, the purpose of Mawlid is to “try to celebrate, try to understand, and to acknowledge the station that is given to our Prophet (AS), and that our existence is because of that Prophet (AS). Allah (SWT) is saying, “if We had not created you, We would not have created anything. We created you to be a Mercy to the whole of mankind.”

His birth, his creation is the birth and the creation of everything. As Allah has put him to be His Habib. As Mevlana Jelalettin Rumi (KS) is saying: “Love is the path of my Prophet. I was born through (his) love- that love is my mother. This love is hidden in a veil, hidden from my unfaithful characteristics. But I wasn’t born from a mother- this love gave birth to me. Ah! A thousand blessings on this motherly love.” (Divan-i-Shams). May peace and blessings be upon the Sultan of Creation, Sayyidina Muhammad (AS). We will celebrate his Mawlid. The entire creation celebrates his Mawlid. Only sheytan and sheytanic people hate to celebrate the birth of the Holy Prophet (AS). sheytan screamed out of hatred when the Prophet was born. Those who scream and say haram, biddat and shirk, let them scream with their leader, sheytan. We will follow the Way of Allah and His Prophets, and send Salawats upon Rasulallah (AS), insha’Allah.

Our Sheykh is saying, “the purpose of making the Mawlid of Holy Prophet (AS) is to understand who is that Holy Prophet (AS). It is also not to become drunk, to lose manners, and to turn it into an empty ritual, just saying love, no! It is to understand who is that Prophet (AS). It is to come to an awakening station about who that Prophet (AS) is. Sahib el-Sayf is saying: “our celebration of Mawlid must be in a much higher station because Allah (SWT) has granted us to be from the nation of Muhammad (AS). Just being one from the nation of Muhammad (AS) and if you carry that properly you will see the reward in the Judgment Day. All Prophets, 124,000 Prophets have been created and on the Day of Creation they asked to be from the nation of Muhammad (AS). Instead of being Prophets they were ready to give up from that title saying, “Oh our Lord, make us to be one follower of that Muhammad (AS).” We must give good tidings to that Prophet (AS), give Salawats as Allah (SWT) is ordering to us in the Holy Kuran, Allah is saying, “Allah and His angels are praising that Prophet. Oh believers, you do the same.” If a man is sitting and doing nothing, just praising that Prophet (AS), he will not be sorry in the Judgment Day. Just giving good titles to that Prophet (AS). For us, our being in existence is because of that Prophet (AS).” And Sahibulsaif speaks the Truth.

The Prophets are in love and in amazement, in hayran in front of the Holy Prophet (AS). Sultan el-Evliya Seyh Mevlana Muhammad Nazim Adil el-Hakkani (KS) is saying: “The Prophet Isa’s tongue is tied trying to describe our Holy Prophet. The Prophet Musa was stunned, when he tried to describe our Holy Prophet. The Prophet Sulayman spoke the noble name of our Holy Prophet with his majesty; Bilqis lost her mind over it.” What are Seyh Efendi’s words indicating to a man of intelligence? It is that those who are following the Holy Prophet (AS), and who are carrying the responsibilities of being from his Ummah, that person is doing the work of Sayyidina Muhammad (AS). And doing that work carries such a high reward, that the other Prophets were willing to sacrifice their Prophethood to be part of this Ummah. So how do we understand that work and be part of that work? Seyh Efendi is saying: “First we must understand our Prophet. We must understand how to love that Prophet. Through that love then we will reach to our Lord. Without that Prophet (AS), it is impossible for a man to understand why he is in his world, what is his reason, and what it is he has to do. Impossible.”

Seyh Efendi is explaining what that work was, saying: You are going to see that Prophet above humanity as Allah (SWT) is saying, “We have created you in Ahsani Taqweem” and “We have created you as Rahmatan-lil Alameen.” Rahmat, mercy. Anyone who is looking for mercy and safety must run to that Prophet (AS) and must hold on to that Prophet (AS). Otherwise, today you know that mankind is not even having mercy to their own children. How are they going to have mercy to others, other nations, other tribes? How are they going to have mercy to the ones that they are fighting? How are they going to have mercy to the ones that they are hating? It is impossible. Only way is to turn back, not by word, not by tongue, not just by outfit only too, no. The lifestyle, the Sunnat of the Prophet (AS) is not only the clothes. It’s his lifestyle, his manners, how he was dealing with situations. Today, we are looking in the east and west, and the majority of the people are thinking, “Only me. Me, me.” Islam is saying, “You. First you and later me.” The other ways are saying, “First me.” Mankind never has enough for his ego. He is always wanting more, more and more, never for somebody else but always looking at others too, “What does that one have? It must be for me too. I must find the way to get it.” They are pulling to that side and if it’s necessary they go out of their way to kill for that. For what? For these materials, this world. Mankind has lost, lost because they left the way that Allah (SWT) has sent to us, and the way is Islam which is shining, and the way to Islam is the Holy Prophet (AS).”

That Holy Prophet (AS) is a Mercy to the Universes. Rahmet. In the Ayat from Surah Tawba that we read in the beginning, Allah (SWT) is addressing Holy Prophet (AS) with Divine Names, Rauf and Raheem. And how is Allah (SWT) describing the Holy Prophet (AS) in those Ayats? He is saying, O mankind, that Prophet is from you. When you suffer, it grieves him, it makes him so heavy and sad. He is so concerned for you. He is Rauf, he has compassion, pity for you. He is Raheem, he is so Merciful to you. Yes, that is Rasulallah (AS). And that is the inheritance of Rasulallah. That worry for the Ummat, that care for the Ummat, that love for the Ummat, that compassion for the Ummat, that Rahmet for the Ummat, it is the inheritance of the Holy Prophet (AS). He is that Rasulallah that when he was born he went into Sajdah crying, Ummati, Ummati. He is that Nabi (AS) who passed away saying, Ummati, Ummati. He is that Habibullah that when he entered the Divine Presence on the Night of Miraj, at every station he asked Allah, Ummati, Ummati. He is that Shafiyullah that on the Day of Judgment he will come, when everyone says Nafsi Nafsi, he will come and he will say, Allahumma Ummati, Ummati.

We want to say that we love the Prophet? We must love who he loves. We must love what he loves. We must love his ways, we must love his Shariat, we must love whom he loves. Who is loving the Ummat? Who is caring about the Ummat today? Who is caring about anyone but themselves today? We entered into an age of selfishness. A time passed where a man felt shame and shy if the smell of their food went to their neighbor, and they didn’t share. We entered now into a time where people go to the faces of the starving and eat in front of them. Ashik-e-Rasool? Shame on those people who eat with the tyrants while the inheritors of the Prophet, the poor, helpless, oppressed Muslims starve and they suffer under zulm. Shame on those who claim to love the Prophet while they leave those whom he loves to the hands of the oppressors. Mawlid? What kind of a Mawlid is it when you forgot about those whom the Holy Prophet (AS) loves? How is Allah SWT describing the Prophet? He is concerned, he is grievous, he is full of pity, he is merciful. What kind of Mawlid do you have if you are in ghaflat, care-free, dancing and singing while your Prophet and his people are crying? He (AS) is seeing our deeds. He is fresh and he is alive. He is looking at the condition of his Ummah. Do you think he is happy, O Muslims? Do you think that he is happy when he sees those who are calling out to him in China, in Africa, in Kashmir, in Palestine, in Burma, crying out his name, saying, “help us Ya Rasulallah.” Do you think that he is singing, do you think he will be celebrating his birthday, or do you think he is crying for them? Do you think he is happy with us when he sees that we have left those believers, our brothers and sisters and fathers and mothers, alone, and we have adopted the unbelievers to be our family?

Our Sheykh, Sahib el-Sayf Sheykh Abdul Kerim el-Kibrisi el-Rabbani (KS) is speaking to us from the heart of the Prophet (AS): “(The innocent Muslim children are starving and dying). You are not feeling anything at all. You are not seeing anything anymore. You are not understanding anything anymore. Because you have died. Worrying for your selfish, egoistic lifestyle. Yes, that’s what is happening. And that’s what happened to us. And yes, we should move. Wake up because Allah’s revenge is coming. It’s coming to everyone of us. I don’t know who is going to escape from that. But the revenge is coming. Yes. Don’t forget. You have children. And, it’s coming to you. It’s not going to stay there. It’s coming to us. You have to feel the same pain. You are going to. Because we are all in a big malayani, with nonsense. With something that has no meaning at all. Only show. Everything is just a show. Everything is for fulfilling the desire of the ego. Nothing else. And is that what Prophet (AS) said? No. That’s not what Prophet has said. Prophet (AS) is saying, ‘If a believer lives on another side of the world, and the thorn enters to the finger of that believer, other believers who is on the other side of the world, has to feel the pain.” Is that what’s happening to you? Is that what’s happening to us. No. So you have that. Those children they are looking, and they are dying. Yes we are going to die. But it is a test from Allah jala wa’ala subhana wa ta’ala to 21st century people.”

So we lost. We lost. And we lost. Why is that? Because we lost our Rahmat, we lost our coolness, we lost our Shadow of Allah on earth. We lost our Sultan. Holy Prophet (AS) said, “The Imam is a shield, behind whom you fight and you protect yourself with.” (Muslim). Yes, when there was a Sultan, when there was a Khalifa, when there was someone who was sitting in the Maqam of Holy Prophet (AS), and being worried for the Ummat, crying for the Ummat, living for the Ummat, and dying for the Ummat. And he was the head of the body of the Ummat. So the rest of this Ummat, as the eyes, the hands, the feet, it was moving all together to run to protect the Ummat and to help the Ummat. And yes, when there is a head, when one part feels pain, the whole body feels pain. But a body with no head is dead and useless. That is what we have become today. Yes, the Khalifa, and especially the last ruling Khalifa, Sultan Abdulhamid Han Jennat Mekan, he was worried and caring about the Ummat. The Khalifa was full of pity and merciful to the Ummat. The Khalifa that we removed from his Seat, the Ottoman Padishahs, their every cell was in love with the Holy Prophet (AS), and that love was proved in every moment through their concern and through their Mercy to the Ummat. They were sitting at the feet of Evliyaullah who made their hearts alive with the Ashk of the Rasulallah (AS). They were following the Wasiyyet of Sheykh Edebali, who said to Osman Gazi: O my son! You are the ruler! We are the subjects! Anger is ours; patience is yours… Our hearts will be broken, and you will repair them, not the other way around… O my son! Your burden is heavy; your work is difficult; and your power is tied to you only with a single thread of hair… Love should be the essence of the cause. Love is in silence. Shouting makes love impossible. Being seen makes love impossible.” And the Friends of Allah they speak the Truth.

They were following the advice of their Father, Osman Gazi, who gave a Wasiyyet to Sultan Orhan, that reached to all the other Sultans, saying: “Son! Take lesson from me. I came to these places as a weak leader and I reached to the help of Allah although I did not deserve it. You follow my way and protect Din-i Muhammedi and the believers and also your followers. Respect the right of Allah and his servants. Do not hesitate to advise your successors in this way. Depend on Allah’s help in the putting up justice and fairness and in removing cruelty and zulm. Protect your public from enemy’s invasion and from the cruelty. Do not behave any person in an unsuitable way with unfairness. Help the people.” And those Sultans they lived like that. When they got up in the morning, their first worry was the Ummat. And their last worry before they went to rest was the Ummat. We have pictures everywhere. Look at a picture of Sultan Abdulhamid Han, Ulu Hakan. Look at his shoulders. At every moment you see the burden of the entire Ummat on his shoulders. Even though he was all alone. Seyh Efendi was saying: “during the last days when there was confusion everywhere, Sultan Abdul Hamid Han is almost alone. He doesn’t have too many helpers around. So many helpers became betrayers and he cannot trust them…When the Khilafat is removed then the curse is coming anyway. You don’t need to hear it for yourself. Non-stop curse is coming down to mankind saying, “You are the ones who removed the Khalifah.” And curse is coming down. From that time until now. And that’s why we are not accepting their systems. Anyone who is accepting that, it’s showing that they don’t want the Khalifah, they don’t want that ruling…The Khilafat, that’s what Allah wants.”

Yes, in this Mawlid, we should understand how the situation of the Ummat has become. We should look at the Ummat, the way that it is presenting itself to the Holy Prophet (AS), the way the Prophet is seeing it, not what we want to see with our shows. Maybe through shame, because we cannot do anything, maybe through shame our eyes will also have tears, to have regret about what the Ummat did and is doing. Sultan el-Evliya is saying: The Ottomans gave honor, and they didn’t take honor from anyone else. Their honor is from Allah and the heavens. This is it. Shame on those who went to Istanbul and (exiled the Khalifah). Shame on you. Can those who exiled the Khalifa be Muslims? Fear Allah! (No one is asking), where is your Khalifa? Without the Khalifa, Friday prayer isn’t valid. Eid is not valid, Ramazan is not valid, the Khutba is not valid. This is the Pure Shariat of al-Ahmed. Ya Rabbi, Your name is As-Sabur (The Patient One). You will give everyone what they deserve, let’s see…”

Today, the words Khalifa, Khilafat, Sultan, Sultanat, they became such that Muslims turn their faces when you say them. Because people became dead and stupid, living, stupid dead people. If a man’s heart is alive, he is going to look to the suffering of this world, and he is going to understand that the only solution to these problems is to restore the rights to the Khalifa, and for this body to have a head again. Sahib el-Sayf is saying: “They tried everything. It’s not working. They tried everything, every system, it’s not working… No other way but Islam. No other way but holding tightly to the Holy Prophet (AS) on the way of Islam. If mankind is looking for safety then it must run for this. If they are not running for that then Islam is not falling. Islam is rising, it’s rising. Every single day that they are attacking, Allah is making Islam to rise. Allah is making that Prophet (AS) to rise. They can attack in any way they like but that Prophet (AS) is going to higher stations, inshaAllah ar-Rahman.”

This is Ahir Zaman. This is the time of Jababirah, of biting tyranny. This is not the time to call to arms, or to fight the physical fight. We lost that right when we lost our Khalifah. This is the time for us to fight against our own sheytans and nafs inside of us, to check our hearts. This is the time to check if your heart is clicking with the Holy Prophet (AS). This is the time to check if you are feeling a little bit of pain of that Prophet. In this Mawlid, it is the time to check if you love what he loves and if you hate what he hates. It is the time to check, do you have that pain for the Ummat, that concern for the Ummat, that caring for the Ummat, that mercy for the Ummat, and the shame that you cannot do anything about it? When we don’t, then know that you can sing every verse of every Kaside, but your love is fake, your love is once a year, your love is just singing and dancing, your love is not carrying any burden that he is carrying, because you have loved and sunk into this dunya and the ways of the unbelievers. Love is not real until your heart beats to the same rhythm as your beloved. If our Prophet is crying while we are in ghaflat and laughing, shame on us. May we wake up in this Mawlid, insyaAllah.

O Believers, wake up! There are those who have made their heart into a Rawzah for the Holy Prophet (AS), who love that Prophet, that smile when he smiles, and cry when he cries. Our Sheykh is such a Ashik of Rasulallah (AS). Follow his advice for this Ahir Zaman, and insha’Allah we will reach not just to safety, but to the Pleasure of Rasulallah. Sheykh Effendi is saying: Islam was ruling. “Holy Prophet (AS) is ordering (that if you reach to the Age of Jababirah): “If you are living during that time, I only give you two advices. Speak the truth and be patient. You are not going to be able to change anything.” He said to this Sahabis, “A time will come to my nation that they are not going to be able to speak the truth and they are not going to be able to stop people from Munkar, from wrongdoings.” So the Sahabis said, “Ya Rasulullah, what kind of believers are those people going to be?” He said, “Worse is going to come to them. They are not going to be able to do that outside. Leave outside. They are not going to be able to do that inside, to their family members. They are not going to be able to say what is right and what is wrong. Nobody is going to listen. Everybody is going to rule as they like.” The Sahabis were more surprised. Then Prophet (AS) closed the gap a little bit more. He said, “Worse is going to come to them.” “What is it Ya Rasulullah?” the Sahabis asked. He said, “They are not going to be able to speak to their own children. They are not going to be able to change their wrongdoings and wrong things. Their hands are going to be tied by the governments. They are not going to be able to change and raise their children in the way of Islam. They are not going to be able to speak to their wives. Their wives are not going to listen to them. They are going to say ‘Democracy’ and they are going to say, “Feminist rights’, women’s rights.'” All these Rasulullah (AS) is saying, They said, “Ya Rasulullah, what kind of believers are they going to be?” You know vinegar is very strong. If you put any kinds of worms in the vinegar it will die. It will not live in it. But vinegar has its own kinds of worms that will stay in that vinegar. It will live in that vinegar. He said, “Those of my nation in that time who are going to try to live a correct lifestyle are going to be like those worms inside the vinegar. They are going to live. And my salams to them.” He is saying from that time, “My salams and my blessings to those ones.”

In this Jummah Day, we are asking Allah (SWT) to forgive us. We are asking Him to forgive us for the crimes that the Ummat committed against to His Beloved Ones. We are asking Him to help the Ummat. We are asking to be from those that are carrying the responsibility of helping and caring for the Ummat, and correcting the Ummat. We are asking to live the correct lifestyle in this lifestyle. We are asking to stay with those who are receiving the Salams of Holy Prophet (AS). We are asking to love those whom the Holy Prophet loves, and to leave those whom he leaves. We are asking with Sheykh Mevlana’s dua for Mawlid, saying: “May it be Holy for the people of Muhammad (AS). May Allah let us reach his intercession. May no worries remain on people. May shaitan and those who follow shaitan be defeated. May calamities stop. May mercies come down on the people of Muhammad (AS). May relief come. May those who want to destroy the people of Muhammad (AS) be destroyed themselves.” Amin.
